  1. pet yorkshire terrier. Random non sequitur GO!
  2. I've heard a lot of good things about Doctor Who, but I've never actually been able to watch it. Even my Literature professor goes to Doctor Who conventions.
  3. I would like to announce that I'm considering becoming a Mary Kay rep. Whee!
  4. to the overwhelming
  5. Hello, and welcome! And actually, we don't shanghai people into becoming mods just because we get lonely. We just decide whether you want you to be one, and then bam, you are. Sometimes we ask beforehand, but decline too much and we'll shanghai you anyways. ^_~ Anyways, I'm KChan, and I do a little bit of everything around here. All my contact info is in my profile, so please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
  6. Thanks for that list, SOM1else! That's definitely useful, and something we need to have on the main site for sure when we get it launched.
  7. @CrazyRioter: We haven't been able to skin the blog yet; it's still running on default settings. It will be fixed, don't worry. This is not the final product.
  8. Yes, the all caps title was entirely necessary. I am the greatest Foruchemist. First of the Postbringers, member of the Stanod, wielder of the Balance between Truin and Uservation. I am power. I think I've also had too many oreos.
  9. Comment moderation is enabled, but I couldn't figure out how to approve the comment. Way to go, IP Blogs.
  10. So, um, blogs are up now. Yay. This is mainly just for me to get used to the interface, and also to take a look at what all needs to be skinned most desperately. That's about it. Feel free to leave random nonsensical comments!
  11. . Then Natalie Portman Ballet, Black Swan, yeah. Couldn't resist.
  12. I once did an entire speech off the cuff for an English class. It worked out pretty darn well, actually. Better than reading my report off powerpoint slides, at any rate. I would also like to announce that my midterms are officially over. About freaking time! x_x

  16. Hum, interesting. And, getting back on topic:
  17. Then a random We still have a random half of an infinitive in the previous sentence, whether it's struck or not.
  18. Lord of the Rings is breathtaking. Yeah, the pacing is slower than in other books, but Tolkien's ability to set a seen and paint vivid pictures of the world is masterful. The Weis-Hickman books are a fun read, but I was never quite sold on their narrative. As for Eragon, read it if you want, but I recommend checking it out from your local library rather than buying it. I know I wish I had.
  19. I would like to announce that the costume exhibit at the museum was freaking breathtaking. I got to see actual costumes worn in Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Duchess, Phantom of the Opera, Goya's Ghosts, Finding Neverland, and tons more! They weren't even behind glass. I could lean in nice and close and look at every miniscule detail. X3
  20. I've heard of that, but I'm typically not into the Magical Girl genre. Give me masked superheroes any day. Speaking of which: openings ever.
  21. I'm mostly just playing a bit of WoW every now and then when I get the time. School has left me too busy for most console gaming, sadly.
  22. Apples. X3 TofM was awesome. I seriously love that book. And is that "just you wait" a good or a bad thing? XD
  23. Currently starting The Name of the Wind. I'm not completely sold on the main character, but the prose is very good.
  24. of the big Verbs? Who needs verbs?
