  1. Winter pulls on the rope experimentally to check the knot, and then starts scaling the tree quickly.
  2. how many eighth notes are in one measure of 3/4? E. Half of the above.
  3. alright, sound out the next word. "The dog likes...." I'm colorblind! why would you trust me to do that?
  4. “Okay” Winter responds, emerging from the shrubbery. He had no idea why that beast had given up so easily.
  5. That’s probably a better line than the “infinite Batman” speech from Legion.
  6. "Fawn, warn Sharlin about the deepwalker beast" Winter whispers to his aviar, trying to avoid attention. Winter spares a quick glance to make sure Fawn gets her attention before slowing backing away into the foliage. He didn't want to abandon Sharlin after she had spared him, but he knew that he would get himself killed by attacking the monster. He needed to retreat while it was distracted by Sharlin.
  7. Is rma your favorite type of misspelled sheep? 50 POINTS TO GRYFFINDOOR!
  8. I was going to post, but Treamayne pretty much said exactly what I was going to, including kelsier and elantris. I've listen to the audiobooks of Mistborn and SA, so I guess I haven't had very many issues there. although I do wonder about "Elantris". is it "Elaan-tris" or "Elon-tris"? I tend to go with the first, no idea if I'm right or not. don't get me started on the horneaters...
  9. Jonoh understood that he was the most likely suspicion of the town and his elaborate ideas apparently had made things worse. “Paranoid”. While some things could have been done by anyone, Matoro still has acted more suspicious than they. However unlikely his theories seemed, they were based on one fact that only he knew: he was innocent. Since he wasn’t the killer someone else must be.
  10. @DrakeMarshall Your writeup had a character that might have been an Unmade. Is this confirmed, or is it up to us to decide?
  11. Jonoh wondered what the “steamer”, as people were calling him, was thinking. While Jonoh had had some suspicions about Sever, there hasn’t been strong enough to cast a vote. And it seemed unlikely for Sever to claim illumination when it would almost certainly lead to his death if he was found to be lying. That was a good enough reason to convince Jonoh of his innocence, although he couldn’t rule Sever out entirely. If they thought him suspicious for voting Matoro, he hoped they would remember that Matoro had approached Jonoh and claimed to have not visited anyone. While this was confusing, one explanation would be that he had tried and failed to kill Volomir, and then decided it was too risky to claim a visit to someone else in case they got caught lying. They hoped that people would decide this behavior odd but not villainous, but Jonoh thought otherwise.
  12. The council had mentioned a mysterious figure who had appeared in the night who had been reported to look an awful lot like an unmade. It seemed to Jonoh that after losing an ally, the voidbringer(s?) had decided to start using their resources. It was important to recognize that there has almost certainly been greater powers at work than simple murderers when analyzing what has happened.
  13. Mentally, Jonoh starts to get concerned. Matoro didn’t seem to be making any effort to seem normal. That didn’t make any sense. If he was a voidbringer, then he would try to fit in, and if he was innocent, he would have no reason to be weird. He didn’t have time to try and deduce the strange man’s intentions. “Hmm… If you spent last night at the inn, you must have met Arenta. She’d never let someone like you be in her establishment for that long without cornering you and demanding money.”
  14. Jonoh seems even more suspicious. “Are you saying you that you didn’t interact with any of the other suspects? If so, that’s…. interesting.”
  15. "Trying to find and eliminate the voidbringers among us." He gives Matoro a meaningful look "I'm not too trusting of strangers, especially ones I don't know. The sailor was a liar, and I know very little about you. For example, who did you visit last night?"
  16. "Jonoh. From what I've heard, you're Matoro. What have you been doing?"
  17. These newcomers were starting to about Jonoh. Matoro continued to say almost nothing, and Gietheri’s story, while interesting, provided little in the way of actual information. It seemed to him that they would benefit if everyone would say what they had done during the night and who they had targeted.
  18. "As I mentioned earlier, I visited Volo and quite possibly saved him.
  19. "Does not the surge of transportation say that "The target is swapped with you, actions that would hit one hit the other."? More people need to say what they did last night before we can fully assess what's happened."
  20. Jonoh approaches his accusers worried. These strangers invaded his town, and now they were saying he had tried to kill Volo. He didn’t like the man, but Jonoh wasn’t desperate enough to resort to violence yet. “I don’t know what you saw, but it wasn’t a failed murder. I did use my power on Volo, but if my memory of the surges are correct, I either saved him, switched places with him or blocked his action (which I believe you would probably know if that happened). I’m inclined to think the first because it seems like someone must have switched with me if you saw a voidspren. Let’s hear the others explain what they did and maybe we’ll be able to figure out who actually did it. Hasty votes often lead to misinformed decisions. I have some suspicions, but I’m not going to vote until I’ve heard some more people’s story.”
  21. Jonoh decided to stay in town for the night instead returning to his house. He didn’t like the idea of being near voidbringers, but being completely alone was even more dangerous. He wished that some of the other suspects would say more. He couldn’t judge them based on a few words.
