Delind fell asleep quickly. She had watched from a distance as the stranger had argued with the peacekeeper and hoped he didn’t come back. Things were bad enough with well meaning troublemakers. She was 16 now. She was only 3 years away from safety. If she kept her head down and kept working, maybe she would survive her sentence without major incident. She didn’t like being treated the way she was, but she had quickly realized that the best way to stay sage was to do what she was told without complaining. That was why she slept easily despite the days events. After serving for so long, she had gained an extreme level of self-control that enabled her to sleep whenever she chose. She was one day closer to freedom.

They’re named for characters from the Stormlit HG and contain three districts each to make twelve total districts (like the original Hunger games). Since you don’t have any previous characters, you can probably choose any of the districts to be in.

Delind was unhappy. Today was her 16th birthday, but there was no party, no celebration. She could remember when he had been a child and her parents had thrown a huge party for her with lots of presents. Her family has been rich and she had whatever she wanted. That was before the rebels killed her parents. As much as the new government claimed to prioritize “freedom”, it only seemed to apply it to a select group of people. Now Del was a servant for one of the dead tributes family. The tribute had been named Ninddle, and his family wasn’t fond of people from the capital. When they had been given land and servants, they didn’t care about most of the land and let anyone use it. However, since most of the servants had been children at the time, they had renamed them after Ninddle by rearranging the letters in his name. However, they weren’t very good at spelling, so their names weren’t always very good. the only other person who knew about her birthday was her friend Sark, who has been renamed after Rask. Since Ninddle had been the only child left in his family, his mother lost touch with reality when her son died. However, Rask had had a lot of siblings whose father had moved in with Ninddles mom to take care of her. They owned a large house and a sizable amount of land, so there were an endless amount of chores to occupy the capitol childrens time. Today her task was to mow the front lawn. So she got to watch as all of the formerly poor people walked around doing things that she should have been doing. It was hot and there were bugs everywhere. Her birthday was having a very poor start.

I had an idea… What if we did a general fiction hunger games where you get to pick a pre-existing character from any fictional book or series who would do good in a traditional hunger games without magic, like Aragorn from lord of the rings, or Will from rangers apprentice Basically, if you’ve ever thought “hey, this person would be good in the hunger games”, then this is for you.

Leaderboard? If it’s a leaderboard for who places the best throughout multiple games, then it will make people less likely to let their character die. It would make the games take longer; I’m not sure it would be a good idea, no offense. edit: I found the thread, so Nevermind.
