Y'all I just noticed that I won the day on Dec 9th and again yesterday. That's pretty peak, as that's never happened before.
-
Oh merciful Domi y'all I just noticed that you liked my coming out post to the point of it being the 3rd most liked post on this thread. ... You know what, screw it. Let's make it number one! Just five four three two more likes! (No hate to @theTruthshaper or @Emi, they had pretty good posts too.) Edit: I could help you out by removing my like for @theTruthshaper's post, but that'd be mean. Edit 2: Yoo we got it to number two! Just a little farther to go
-
What the hell do you mean this post gets 4 likes? I was just joking before when I was talking about the arbitrary like standards, but now I feel like you're messing with me. Oh just me being amused by the fact that you're replying to my nearly 2 year old coming out post.
-
...y'all
-
Five rep huh? Okay I can add this to my list of stuff that gets likes Coming out as trans (All the way back on page 42. None of the people active on this thread now were back there, except for Koloss17 [not really active if I'm being honest] and AonEne) Complaining (sometimes) Commenting about awesome stuff that's happened to me Edit: Didn't really happen to me but it did happen to other people during the incident: Arguing at transphobes.
-
Y'all another trans girl just told me she got gender envy from me and it made me feel so good omg

[(Note for observers, this is in reference to some PM chats) Lmao do you think I don't like hard magic? I'm on the Cosmere forum. I just wanted to leave options open in case someone wants their powers because they got bitten by a radioactive gay person instead of the typical way. I'm not trying to craft a canon to rival the greatest fantasy authors here, this is just a silly lil thing]
-
[Uh I mean if you really want to, but you don't necessarily need to kill a Certified in your group, I thought maybe you wanted to do more silly sitcom shenanigans, but you can do whatever. Maybe confer with the other two in your group idk you decide] [ @Ookla The Vessel Of Honor, @Ookla the Dokja, just informing you of what's happening now since the other group seems to be doing well on their own. Emma wants to kill Identity, but admittedly has no idea how, and is kinda hoping Coder can help her. I'll make an in-character post about it later.]
-
Yo hellooo! We love to have more people enter our little corner of the forum. (Fun fact: I have not exited this little corner of the forum in a long time. I pretty much only use the 17th shard to talk to gay people now) Some things people have said about me.
-
[Tomorrow, I'm going to make a large post to ensure everyone knows what's happening. Also yes, this went insane very quickly. Feel free to do your own shenanigans, you don't have to go to the massive story arcs if you don't want to.]

Damn this is really intensive and cool. I see just one missing piece. (I don't have an answer for what it's missing, nor do I think anyone could. It's not) This missing piece is: What happens when there are disagreements on what causes harm, or even what harm is? I'm not gonna go too far into it, but if anyone has a good answer, that'd be cool. I was going to begin a debate about what morality even is, but then I found that I don't have the energy for that right now.

[why do you want to kill your patron Certified, did it just seem cool since everyone else wanted to do it?] [Yes please, obviously no offense to you, but I have been tired as hell trying to manage six (more like 5, since Knightskye rarely shows up people), Emma, Coder, and Isabel are all enough.] [Cool, you'd basically be in charge of moving our plotline forward like I've been doing.] [I'll wait until more stuff is cleared up before I go back in-character.]

Ah, the paradox of tolerance. Always something that has troubled me. I really don't have any answers for it, although I do think it is somewhat prevalent in modern society.

I mean we haven't proven either so... With negatives, I figure if you can prove them with >99.99% accuracy, they're pretty much proven though. (Not a statistician, I'm not certain how this stuff is proven)

... Ok so in defense of 6- WAIT WAIT HEAR ME OUT I genuinely think 6 7 is actually kind of funny, if it is done deadpan. In other words, that annoying voice and hand movement would have to go. Just having two numbers that cause neuron activation is better than most of the crem gen alpha comes up with.

(Damn it, there's been so many responses I can't reply to all of them.) I think this is definitely trying to argue, which is fine, I love arguing. The thing about infinite possibilities is that it is only the case if omnipotence exists (at least in this argument). When omnipotence exists, I don't think there would necessarily be a data trend towards existing religions, since without more information about what or who is omnipotent, we have no way of knowing what it would do with this power. Meanwhile, I don't think there's infinite possibilities for a present, because of such things as the mentality of the gift-giver and such. Even if there was, the data would be heavily skewed toward common gifts, because of the factors that can impact that. It's not meant to be a counterargument to all religion, just religion with omnipotence. So this is a weird one for me. What a god means in this context is obviously important. (For example, in the Cosmere, Returned and Shards are both considered gods, despite being at vastly different levels of power.) But I think that if the existence of an afterlife was confirmed, I would take action. If an eternal afterlife existed, than life would be meaningless next to it, and I'd figure that getting an optimal afterlife would be necessary. That brings me to something I consider a strange thought process in some people. I have met someone on the internet who basically told me "I think you're going to hell, but I'm not going to try to convince you of my views." I could not comprehend this. Ignoring whether my own life would get me into hell or not, I do not understand how one could believe in an eternal afterlife, and not take action to make sure as many people as possible get in the good one. Cause, I figure it's literally infinite evil to not do this, since an infinite amount of suffering is happening (this is assuming the viewpoint that hell is eternal torment and heaven is eternal bliss, I know not everyone believes this). And yet they choose not to press the issue because of... politeness? Difficulty? (I wouldn't call myself a utilitarian, but I do believe in trying to cause the least harm possible.) Oh and please don't try Pascal's Wager on me. It's flawed. (Reasons why) Edit: The dartboard problem does work though, every point does have an effectively 0 chance of being hit. However, if we take into account larger measurements we find higher chances. The biggest differences, however, are that a. The dartboard isn't infinitely big (so while there are infinite points, there are not, say, infinite square inches) b. A dart is more likely to hit points near the middle (assuming they aren't going for like the triple 20 space or whatever I don't actually know what the rules of darts are), because of the aiming of the person throwing it. (A human is understood, and will aim for a certain location, with a certain margin of error. Meanwhile, a god is completely unknowable, and there's no reason to believe it would do one thing or another)

I've been an atheist all my life, for a myriad of reasons. (Wasn't raised religious, learned about mythology from an early age) However, I think my agnosticism is far more interesting. I try and use logical proposals to explain my beliefs. For example, I might make the following argument against religions with an omnipotent God. A. If an omnipotent God exists, than omnipotence is something that can exist. B. If omnipotence is something that can exist, than literally anything is possible C. If anything is possible, then there is a non-zero chance that all religions are false, and misinformation created by a malevolent omnipotent entity D. If anything is possible, then there is no way that any given religion is, without a doubt, false or true. E. If anything is possible, then it is possible that any omnipotent entities are not able to be comprehended by humans, and therefore could not be the subject of any existing religions F. There are infinitely more possibilities than existing religions G. If there are infinitely more possibilities than existing religions, then it is infinitely more likely that reality is not correctly described by any existing religions.

Considering whether to post in the (unofficial) religious discussion thread.
Pros:
- I absolutely love arguing
- Maybe I'll get some rep
- All of my followers would know I'm atheist (wait they already know by reading this SU now.)
Cons:
- Arguing with theists for too long annoys me
- It will be completely meaningless, I won't convince anyone of my view, and they won't convince me of theirs

"Right now? I'd like to take out Identity. We have history, you could say. But I don't want to pressure you to come with me. If you have another one you have issues with, or if you just want to live your life, please don't let me stop you. If we start to run out of time, we can worry then." Emma considers for a moment. "I wanted to go on my own, but... You're special somehow, I can tell. I think you would be an incredible help." [I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask if you could take on a more DM-esque role (leading the story) for this, though I can handle any Identity interactions.]
-
"It's complicated. I think you saw when that thing told us we need to kill a Certified to stop the world from being destroyed. Selia, the Certified of Identity, offered to help, so long as I don't go for her, Acceptance, or Support. "Of course, I have nothing against any of them. In fact..." "I'm sure you all have your own ideas about who's wronged you and who should die. But right now... I want to go for Identity. I don't know how I would do it without divine help, but after what she did... I feel like I have to do this. "How about this. I'm not going to stop you from doing what any of you feel is necessary. Feel free to go on kill another Certified, or, if you feel so inclined, just live your life. But right now, Identity is my target. In six months, we'll meet back here, and discuss our progress. If we haven't made enough, we'll make new plans." [To be clear, this is me attempting to end the scene/split up the party. This is for the reasons of: This six person party is hard to manage, and I don't want to infringe on any stories you want to make here. Depending on what happens, I also might make a new mortal character. We don't have to end it immediately of course, just something to keep in mind.

Next year maybe.

But that's the thing: My whole thing is being way too humble, so I could never call myself something like that. Maybe I could copy-paste the same thing every time, that way everyone doesn't feel the need to reassure me, since it's all part of the bit. Also, is there anyone on this thread besides me who has taken/is taking feminizing HRT? I have a question to ask. Edit: It took literally one google search to find out the answer to my question. I'm still curious if there is anyone here like that so we could discuss stuff.
-
Average interaction when someone new shows up here: Them: Hey everyone, I'm new here Everyone else: Oh hi Me (missed this person joining because I was doing something): Oh sorry I missed your intro. For some reason I'm famous here Everyone else: Yup, you cool and famous. Seriously I need to have a better opening when new people are joining.
-
[Coder did some stuff, but that's secret to your character anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. The whole group of 6 is outside, and Selia, the Certified of Identity just talked with Emma in her mind. Emma revealed that she really doesn't like Selia (you can read about that a bunch of posts back), and they argued for a bit, before my latest post happened. edit: Oh to be clear, the world pretty much ends if we don't kill a Certified within a year. ]
-
[Just gonna summon some people since they haven't posted in a bit, don't feel pressured to if you can't rn. @Ookla The Kintsukuroi, @Ookla the Knight] Emma finishes her conversation with Selia, letting out quite a few obscenities. "Alright everyone. Here's what Selia just told me. She told me that she could help us end Certified, but only if we comply with her demands. Basically: She doesn't want us to kill her, Ace (I think she's talking about Acceptance), or Support.
