  1. Oh and it's literally in your signature too. I really hope you weren't actually trying too hard to hide this.
  2. Honestly I am more surprised that she didn't already know. I mean, a queer-ass demigirl who is introed to the forums by you, into the gay thread, where you regularly post.
  3. Had a fun idea for a Brandon Sanderson related forum game, then realized it would be my first post on this forum actually related to the books in months. (I'll post it soon)

LOL literally real I’m excited to hear abt it

  4. I'm surprised you compared it to Warbreaker instead of ORV Also smh imagine liking men
  5. oh hi. i haven't ever really posted on this thread cause i didn't think i could do a good enough job, but i'll do my best I'm so sorry, I really wish there was something I could do or say, but I don't really know. I'll do my best though. It'll be okay. maybe it doesn't feel like it will, but I promise it will. Sometimes our lives suck, and we can't do anything about it, but I want you to know that one day things will be better. You'll get to be your true self, and you'll be great. And we like having you around here! You're a super cool girl, and a great part of the community! We'll be here for you when you need it. Dysphoria sucks ass, and it's tricky to deal with, especially in an unsupportive environment. But there's ways. Maybe when no one's around, you could look up voice training tutorials on YouTube, and if you want to be safe, clear your search and watch history afterwords. Affirmations help too. Try affirming yourself, telling yourself what I've said, that things will get better, and that you're a girl, no matter what anyone else thinks. Just like the two before me, I'm open to PMs. I'll do my absolute best to help you with whatever you're going through.
  6. ...don't make this weird *eyes light up as my purpose on this thread becomes necessary* So gender dysphoria is just a feeling of distress or uncomfortableness with trans people when they feel a mismatch between their gender identity and what they currently feel. It's the way someone feels when they're misgendered or when they're feeling frustrated with their body or appearance, in a way relating to their identity. Not all, but most trans people do feel this, and it comes and goes for a lot of them. I used to switch between feeling great about my appearance to feeling terrible when no changes actually happened. (I rarely feel dysphoria now, mostly because of HRT) In fact, I should mention that I've found that HRT has made me less dysphoric independent of physical changes. In other words, it made me feel better about the body I already have even without changes.
  7. Oh look my rep title is "Soulcaster" Something something Surge of Transformation something something Transgender
  8. Girl you can't just use an acronym with a new Sharder and then expect them to know what you mean. (Maybe they do though if they're a lurker idk) Anyway she means our Certified Gay Disasters thread (accepts all queer people, not just gay people). Link is in my signature.
  9. Alrighty, here we go. Please let me know if I should rewrite it in a different tone or format or something like that. Stuff in parenthesis is stuff directly from me, rather than from a neutral point of view.
  10. Ah, I know what you mean. I'd love to help you out, but I'm not entirely sure how. If you like though, I could write a short essay explaining trans stuff for you to use
  11. It's okay to be scared to come out even if you have perfectly supportive parents! I was too! I will say though, even though it's really scary to come out, it's soooo liberating to finally do so. When I did it, my heart was racing, my breathing was heavy, and I was shaking, but I did it, and after that, I felt so free. It's worth it, and getting it over with is definitely great.
  12. Eh, kinda sucks, but it's probably a good sign that they used "he" Girl, this is so good! You don't need to compare yourself to me, we have pretty different styles, and I think yours is great (especially if you haven't written that much before). I'd love to see more from you! Actually, now that I think about it, I've shared a good amount of gay poetry, but no trans poetry. I'll try and do that sometime.
  13. Here's a poem I wrote 4 days ago, attempting to emulate the style of Sappho. The opening line is based on an actual quote from her. It's pretty mid as an imitation piece I think, but a decent gay yearning poem.
  14. *smirks* I had a feeling. Cishets don't become a huge part of this thread and join the RP thread (which I really gotta get back to) Anyway, the rest of y'all can chill. As much as your pressure might have moved things along, we do not want to pressure someone into something they aren't. If he's just a straight demiboy, good for them. Anyway, @Ookla the Knight (btw Ookla month is over now[Edit: I read your member title. It makes sense now]), I recommend you look inwards, try and get a handle on your identity. Think about what feels right. And you know my role on this thread, so don't hesitate to ask any questions or clarification.
  15. Ok, listen. ORV is amazing. I love it. But I don't think it's for everyone. I'm extremely into narratology, which is part of the reason I like it so much. But that's not super common. Not only that, but I don't think you're going to sell someone who wants to read gay stuff with 551 chapters of only shipping and subtext.
  16. Heh, I had a feeling you wouldn't be here if you were completely cishet. Unlike some people tho, I'm not going to aggressively push the issue lmao.
  17. I am extremely gay trans gal. My member title goes into more detail.
  18. Oh that's actually hilarious. Did she tell you she used to think I was a college student?
  19. Alrightyyyy Well, like I said, we're glad to have you here!
  20. (ah damnit, I'm always too late whenever a new person joins) Hello, @The Bagel Boy (btw, I can't help but notice a mismatch between your username and pronouns. Just wondering about that.) Normally I have a whole bit where I complain about how popular I am on this thread, but I don't currently feel like doing all that again. Anyone else can feel free to link my last post like that. Anyway hi! I'm the resident nerdy trans gal who answers questions and occasionally actually gets things done. I love to see new people join this thread, so I hope you stick around.
  21. [Sorry I've been so inactive. Winter Break should let me be on more. I'll try and help you get a plotline started soon]
  22. And Ookla month is over. I managed to do less GMing than before it started. Ah well.

Also I noticed that there's no restrictions on changing your birthday on your profile, so you could hypothetically change it every day so that it's always your birthday. Curious.
