  1. "How is everyone a Narrator all of a sudden?" he mumbled, shifting his focus back to Castom who was running between his legs. Narrators were getting more powerful by the minute, and Yrank knew that it was mostly for the worst. Yrank realised that the world was changing and could do nothing about that. He just hoped that when it hatched from it chrysalis of war and suffering, it would be a place worth living in. In any case, it was definitely not the right place or time to dwell on such thoughts, rather, he should savour the time he has with his friends. Yrank didn't know a lot about the bond between the person and their 'familiar', but he'd heard stories of how pairs have achieved greatness together, and some even going as far as to kill someone for their animal. "I've heard that a bond is a symbiotic relationship of sorts. I didn't understand much back then, but now I'm wondering, what will the bond do, and just as important, what can Castom do?"
  2. "I'm so sorry for everything," Yrank said. "I'll make sure we stay together, no matter what happens." Castom merely spun around, as energetic as she was all those years ago. "Hey Beosta," Yrank said, unaware of her current speaking ability, "how precisely can she talk to me again? We were on the verge of a bond before we unfortunately split paths, but it at least let us communicate to some extent."
  3. Precisely Your waddling is too slow, I catch up and snatch it. Though I believe I shouldn't fear Vyz anymore; he has bigger issues now
  4. "Hey, hey, there we go" Yrank muttered. His heart was beating rapidly. What if he screwed up? What if Castom didn't even remember him? She inched closer, stepping her soft yellow paws onto the the ground, ever so slowly closing the distance between them. She stopped, then stared at him for a second, beady eyes filled with a defensive stare. He reached out, attempting to connect with his apparent old friend. The stoat recoiled before his hand travelled more than an inch. He closed his eyes, sighing. Of course she didn't recognise him, it was decades ago, not to mention that this was a stupid idea to begin with- Something small and furry found itself in his hand. He opened his eyes. Castom was actually smiling! "Ha, would look at that, she remembers me!" Yrank exclaimed, making sure his friends saw. "Hey get over here, she remembers me!" he called out to Bacon, who was further away than the others and seemed to be talking to someone. Yrank had felt the happiest he'd felt in decades.
  5. Yrank suspected the quest would be quick, more so accounting the spring in Livetha's step, but this, this was unbelievable. The animal placed on the branch was similar to its 'liberator' in the fact that it was a small and weasel-like. It was smaller than Livetha, yet seemed more restless, appearing as if it was trying to groom its entire body in under a minute. Yrank stepped closer, slowly, but not quite steadily, as an audible crack in his knees threw the old man off balance, falling down on to said joints, prompting a flinch of the stoat's head. It had to be her, it had to be Castom. She had aged better than he did, although her red fur and yellow paws were dimmer, almost sickly in a way. "Hey pal, do you remember me? He had a mighty moustache and vast beard, all of which had been greyed, yet he hoped from the bottom of his heart that she recalled their friendship. @The Halcyon Girl
  6. I quiver in fear... ...until I remember that I slipped some dried fruit into Vyzkel's food earlier, and now he will have no choice but to swap out a certain letter in 'Shardplate'.
  7. Did Yrank seriously need to explain this to a magical bard? "These critters are far rarer, and while shared similar anatomy to your run of the mill stoat, they have sapience and, in my young self's case, can help you through some hard times. Livetha here, is an example of such critter, and do something along the lines of sensing others like herself. "Found something buddy?" Yrank asked. On a separate note, Beosta had been awfully quiet and grumpy this whole adventure. Probably Bacon's maddening humming.
  8. Oh yeah I forgot you only joined this year. I forget that some of the most active members weren't around when Thaidakar was mostly active. Anyway, I bury the Sandwich on a desert island and create a map with a bright red 'X' marks the spot.
  9. Yes, yes low-key Arda family feud. I'll chuck an UNO reverse to that one:
  10. Yrank looked at the rock he tripped over. The rock, in a metaphoric way, looked at Yrank. He simply picked up the rock, and moved it to the side of the path. After all, removing harmful things from the road is an act of charity.
  11. Suddenly, Sweden by C418 begins playing softly, its clam melody ever so slightly distinguishable from the wind blowing through the leaves of the trees. Yrank, hadn't have seen anything so relaxing for years, was in a sort of tranquil daze... "OUCH" he yelled. …Until he tripped on a rock.
  12. I just saw it now, and I'm terrified/fascinated. In those ten minutes, I start playing Piano. (As in tricking the person Piano, not actually playing the piano) I steal the Sanwich while Wrath is being returned.
  13. Wait, Doomslug Glass x3 zoomed in more for her pfp, which makes it slightly less confusing.
  14. Okay, but why in the world does everyone have Wrath's profile image? I wake up to find everyone with the same pfp, and frankly, I'm frightened. I punch everyone who looks like Wrath, claiming I only meant to punch one of you.
  15. I stop you by sweeping your leg. (I feel like Vyz is the most tormented in this thread, but I'm happy to continue. )
  16. "What'd you do that for?" Yrank said, curious to why he was kicked. "Livetha, please tell me that this isn't a wild goose chase." He mumbled to himself. "Bacon?" Yrank exclaimed, seeing the bard. "When did you show up?" "Hey, you put that thing away!" Yrank warned. So the current party searching for the stoat includes: Beosta and Livetha Yrank Shoe Bacon The Bard Sasha Also I was away for one night, and I come to 100+ posts.
  17. Well this is where I'll sign off too I guess. Good night (even though it's still 4:37pm for me)!
  18. I don't know if this is a new development or not, but congratulations on your promotion to the Mistborn rank!

    1. Through The Living Glass

      Through The Living Glass

      Yo thanks my guy

I think it was a few days ago.

  19. Yrank followed her into the forest, curious. "Hey you might want to catch up you two!" he told Beosta and Shoe. Wisdom beyond the ages.
  20. After resting for a few minutes, Yrank addressed the stoat. "Livetha, You told me you were able to help. Tell me," he said, using his gentlest voice, "how exactly do you plan to find Castom?" @The Halcyon Girl EDIT: Sure thing, just make sure to give me tips, I'm a bit new to narrating sapient animal buddies.
  21. I guess Yrank never bonded her, more like a friendship, so if she still exists, I guess you can narrate her (but sometimes I guess I would need to narrate her so I dunno) Oh wow yeah it's night for you now.
  22. Yrank knows what she looks like, and where he saw her last, but is mainly relying on Livetha I guess.
  23. Well I think that wraps things up. So to sum up, Yrank realised a way to get back an old friend, The General defeated Subversion, went to attack Shoe and Yrank, before Livetha teleported them away, Nogard staying back. Yrank sat on the grass, breathing heavily. Nogard could take care if himself couldn't he? He stepped over and helped a water-soaked Shoe from the river.
