Welcome to the shard!

Guys, I have a question. I really like science and things like that, and I am also of course a member of the church. I'm just having trouble, I feel like so many things make no sense. I don't understand how any of the things we believe can be true, there is so much that just doesn't follow the laws of the universe. I don't understand. How can the church be true, and still follow science?

The Ydras and Hydif evacuation shuttle lands on the new planet, and they disembark. Over the next few weeks a new government is built, four representatives, two Hydif and two Ydras, one male and one female in each group. The people begin developing, building homes, farms, and infrastructure grows. "We only have a small amount of land." Icaai said to the other Hydif representative, a woman named Shayil. "So many people were left behind." "Someday the war will calm down." Shayil responded. "Then maybe we can return." "Maybe." Icaai said. "Maybe." The two Ydras representatives walk in, Kayde and Yialla. "We've scanned the planet for resources." Kayde said. "There's a lot. There's a ton of metal and crystal underground, and the water is all fresh." "Well then." Shayil said. "I guess we get to work." On Yaelar the exports of crystal begin getting smaller. It is suspected that this is because the people have been beat down over and over. -

Rukk quietly meditated. He tried to sense the force flowing through everything around him. He couldn't feel anything. Rukk was terrible at meditation, he couldn't keep his focus on the quiet. He'd rather be doing something. Meditation, as Tamal had said, was boring. Then Rukk felt something. An extremely powerful presence. Rukk hadn't sensed it himself, it had practically shoved its way into his mind. His eyes flew open. "What is that!" He said. "That is Master Royalos. He is a powerful force user, not a Jedi nor a Sith. He is a sort of... friend of Master Feisyyd." Master Bydal said. "Get back to meditation." "Can I meet him? He sounds cool." "No, not now. You are too young." "Nayla will probably get to meet him, why can't I?" "Nayala is older than you." Master Bydal said. "By a year. Master Feisyyd lets her do all kind of things!" "I am not Master Feisyyd." Rukk sighed, but started meditating again. He opened his eyes a little, and saw that Master Bydal's eyes were closed. He silently stood up and walked away. Master Bydal sensed the Jawa padawan leave, but didn't say anything. He wouldn't stop him, Rukk would learn something from this experience. Hopefully. Tamal Kinrim, the Ewok youngling, meditated. Rukk had said he could use the force super duper coolly if he did. He focused, trying to clear his mind. He reached out with the force tentatively, feeling his surroundings. A rock. A leaf. Another rock. He sighed. What would this do for him? So what if he could feel a rock. He opened his eyes, but kept focusing. Around him was a whirlwind of rocks and leaves, grasses and twigs. He gasped. -

Rukk stood in a small field practicing with the force. He stretched out his hand and made a force barrier. He could use these to block bullets, fists, and even lightsabers. That wasn’t what he was practicing now. He walked over to the barrier, which he had made perpendicular to the ground. He tested it with his foot, then stepped up on it. It held his weight. Rukk took a deep breath and made another barrier, slightly higher than the one he was standing on. He stepped up onto it, and let go of the last one. He did this again and again, focusing on the barriers and keeping his mind completely clear. He reached the point where he was about 15 feet in the air. Then someone shouted at him. Rukk jumped and instinctively used the force to stun the person that had shouted. Unfortunately he also lost his focus, and the barrier fell away. He fell towards the ground, and hit it with a muffled thud. “Ow,” he said, standing up and dusting off his white cloak. He turned to the person that had yelled to him. It was an Ewok youngling, his name was Tamal Kinrim. He stood up, dazed from the force stun. “Master Bydal told me to get you for meditation.” The youngling said, stabilizing himself on a tree. Rukk sighed, but followed the Ewok through the trees. “That was a super cool thing you were doing there!” Tamal said. “I didn’t know Jedi could float! That’s super cool! And you also made my head act all weird! That’s awesome! How did you do that? I really want to learn all the force thing so I can be cool like you. Can you show me your lightsaber? Also, what’s under your hood? Why do your eyes glow? Have you ever flown a spaceship?” Goodness, did this kid ever stop asking questions? “You sure are a curious kid, aren’t you?” “That’s what Master Bydal calls me too. I just really want to know everything! Can you teach me to float?” “It wasn’t floating. I was standing on force barriers. And no, I can’t teach you. That’s a job for a master.” “Can you tell Master Bydal to teach me! All he does with us is meditation. It’s boooooring.” Rukk chuckled at the kids words. “Yes, I’ll ask him. Just be patient, meditation can help you feel in tune with the force. It can help you use it in different, even more awesome ways.” “Really?! Wow, I should really meditate harder!” “Yep, then you’ll be able to become a padawan even quicker.” “Yeah! And you can be my master and teach me everything!” Rukk paused. “Yeah. That.” “Rukk, do you have another droid?” Tamal asked. “The last one broke.” “You already broke it? I gave that one to you three days ago.” Rukk held out his hand, and Tamal sheepishly dropped the droid into it. Rukk pushed lightly on the parts with the force, and they lifted into the air, arranging themselves where they were supposed to go. “Looks like all the pieces are still here. You just… why is that piece dripping?” Rukk asked, noticing that a few pieces had drops of water falling from them. “I… flew it into a pool of water on accident.” Tamal said. Rukk sighed, and used his cloak to dry off the wet pieces. “Be more careful next time.” He began using the force to put the pieces back together, then saw the young Ewok staring, wide eyed. Rukk smiled, and then dramatically made the pieces spin around as they clicked together. When he finished Tamal clapped loudly, and Rukk took a bow. They reached the location that Rukk and Master Bydal would be meditating. Tamal bounced away, yelling “Thanks!” “He sure is an energetic one.” Master Bydal said to him, and Rukk turned to look at him. “Yeah.” Rukk said, sitting down cross legged in front of him. “He sure is.” -

On the shuttles: Icaai sighed as he stared at the porthole of the ship. This wasn’t how this was supposed to happen. He thought. This is really unfortunate. Footsteps approached him from behind. A Ydras man stopped beside him. “So you’re the one who started the rebellion?” He asked. Icaai nodded. “Good for you. I’ve been waiting for that to happen. No one ever did listen to my warnings, though.” “Who are you?” Icaai asked. “Kayde.” The Ydras said. “I captured Lord Yaelar. His days are over. Unfortunately, it costed our home.” “Well, we need leadership. I guess you and I are the best options.” “Yeah.” “We will find a new planet, right?” Icaai asked. “We have to.” Kayde responded. The traitor, Kayde, walked away from the Hydif rebel leader. They did have to find a home. Turning back meant death. A beep came from one of the navicomputors. They were set to detect any large celestial bodies. They pulled out of the jump in a new Star cluster, in a new galaxy. Floating in front of their ship was a large planet, covered in blues and greens. “This…” Kayde said. “This just might work.” On Yaelar: There was one thing good about Fiioss rule: Hydif and Ydras were treated equally. They both had to do extensive labor in mines, factories, and farms. They both went home hungry. The Hydif had gone from one awful life to another. The Fiioss were extremely enraged at the Ydras for the bombing, and the taxes were extremely high. As Fyaa walked to a meeting she contemplated this. She entered the meeting place, a small cave with around 5-6 other people, Ydras and Hydif alike. “This,” She said to them, “Has to end.” @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ -

I’m afraid I cannot choose a life under your rule for my people. But I can’t accept obliteration either. The evacuation ships continue their jump away from the known Star cluster, to where the Fiioss won’t be able to track them. They will begin their search for a new home. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ -

Hundreds of Hydif and Ydras alike run and board shuttles that are in the Yaelar spaceport. The shuttles launch and jump away from the planet in random directions, hoping to lose any Fiioss that may try to track them. The traitor takes his own ship, and jumps away from the planet he was on. He arrives at his location soon after. Lord Yaelar was asleep, but awoke when he heard a THUD. He sat up quickly, and felt something cold on his neck. “If you move you die.” The traitor said. “You will transfer your authority of your house to me.” A transmission comes to all Ydras military ships. This is your new leader speaking. It said. Lord Yaelar has been bested. I demand that you all turn back. This war is over. A response is sent to the Fiioss. This is the Ydras leader. The Ydras surrender. We will not, however, submit to your rule. Terms of our surrender can be agreed upon later. For now we request that all hostilities cease. We are sending Feyl Yaelar to you as we speak, for you to put on trial and punish as you see fit. We hope an agreement can be made. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ -

The Ydras ships slowly fall, until there is only one left. The pilot in it desperately turns around and begins flying away quickly. On Yaelar many of the missiles have been destroyed but more keep coming. Eventually one makes it through. Then another. The Hydif Rebels broke finally won their fight with the Ydras gaurds. They cheer as they enter the surface for the first time ever, squinting their eyes. Then they saw the missiles coming down on them. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ On Jropoux the Traitor makes a request. “I need a ship, and at least ten gaurds. I know how we can stop this invasion from having any casualties.” @Experience -

The Ydras ships, in desperation to find some way to win, begin flying head on towards the planet. A few more organized ships launch of off Yaelar and begin shooting at the missiles, trying to detonate them before they reach the planet. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ -

The Ydras ships fell into chaos, their lines falling apart. The paranoid pilots shot at everything, missiles, mines, and even themselves. Eventually they reorganized themselves, and started planning, but not before at least 6 more ships had been destroyed. A half of their numbers were gone. @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ -

I love the idea of a Jawa Jedi! Yeah! I was going to do a porg Jedi but then I decided that would probably be a bit far-fetched, so I settled for the Jawa instead. So now we have a Jawdi in the RP, like Channelknight Fadran so very aptly named. I’m definitely calling him that. -
