    Elan nods. He pulls out a pack and stuffs it full of weapons, then follows Eddie.

    “Kill… kill me…” Elan 1 says, tears streaming down his face as he huddled on the floor.

    Elan 2 nodded. “Cool. So now you’re on our side? Interesting. Congratulations!”

    Elan 1 stays on the ground, hugging himself, shaking. He’s mumbling something quietly to himself. “…hates me… you have to hate me… everybody…”

    Elan 1 screamed. His body shook and he dropped the knife. He collapsed onto the floor, eyes watering, shaking. Far away Elan 2 flinched, as he spoke to the cultist. Stinking Elan 1 taking my place. He thought, shaking his head. There were disadvantages to having an identical twin.

    “Good. Good.” Elan 1 says. The desert everyone is in fades away as Elan 1 buries his face in his hands. When the world reforms, Elan 1 is gone.

    “You have it good, you know that right?” Elan 1 says. “You have a friend who’ll always be there to help you. You have it really good. Just… remember that. I know you hate me, but… remember that.”

    Elan 1 nods. He doesn’t say anything more, he just sits there, sadly staring into the distance.

    Elan 1 sighs. His face is sad. “Just tell me one thing. You love her, I know that. Just tell me about her, why do you love her so much?”

    “We don’t need to do that. Not right now. For now we need to talk. Just talk, and then I’ll let you go.”

    Elan 1 is sitting on a bench nearby, staring off into the distance. “So.” He says.

    “Oh oh OH” Elan 2 says, realizing what’s going on between Eddie and Lil. “You guys are in-” he cuts off as he sees a mental glare from Elan 1. “Sorry.” He mumbles, looking at his feet.

    “I want to know to!” Elan 2 says. He looks around, then purses his lips. “Sorry, wrong moment.” He whispers.
