  1. Mr. E arrived in the entryway and saw this happening. "Here, let me assist." He said, hobbling over.
  2. Gemini went to each of their traveling group's rooms and let them know they would be leaving soon. @Edema Rue @The Aspiring Archivist @Bird Furious @shortcake @RoyalBeeMage @Just_a_Fan @Through The Living Glass
  3. He nodded, then picked up a steaming mug that was resting on a pedestal, taking a sip as he went back down the stairs.
  4. Gemini raised his eyebrows at her. "Mhm" He turned and left the room to fetch the others.
  5. Mr E. nodded, understanding. "Well than, typically pretty mellow. Enjoy your time. If you need me, I'll be around."
  6. Gem stood up and took hers and Elan's hands. "Well, should we get the others? Or is this place just for you two lovebirds?" Gem asked, eyebrows raised at the two of them. "Golly you guys spent forever talking."
  7. The old man had a breathy laugh, and he smiled at her slyly. "Alright, just be careful. Too much excitement in one day isn't healthy."
  8. He smiled. "I have millions of clones across millions of worlds. It was only a matter of time." He let her go, and turned to Gem, who was just climbing out of bed. "You two ready to go?"
  9. The lights began to flicker a little. Mr. E glared at the ceiling, and snapped a couple times. "You stop that." He snapped at the roof. The lights returned to normal. "A bit touchy sometimes, the hotel. It'll get used to you though." He led her on. The floor was ornate and beautiful, and massive tapestries covered the walls. Pillars stretched high into the ceiling, delicately carved and leafed in a thin layer of opalescent crystal.
  10. He placed a hand on the back of her head, holding her close. "I'm so glad you did." He could feel that something was wrong. He guessed it had something to do with her past, which was a sensitive topic he knew, but he wouldn't read her mind—that was a breach of privacy he wouldn't mess with. A location came up in his mind, sent by one of the Elans. "I found your place."
  11. "You'll get used to it." He said. The staircase was ornately decorated, and looked hand carved. Mr. E ran his hand gently along the railing. As they reached the top, it opened up into a massive ornate ballroom. "Just across here," he said, gesturing to a stairwell at the other end leading up. "Step carefully. You're new here." He hobbled out in front of her, waving her to follow.
  12. He squoze her hand, then lifted one of his hands to her chin and lifted her head to look her in the eyes. He stared into them softly, wrapping his arms around her. "You are so strong." He said softly. "I don't think I could have handled what you did."
  13. Elan took it in briefly, then pulled away, looking into Aventine's eyes sadly. "That was beautiful." "I'll ask around." He said, sending out a little memo to the Elans and asking if they knew the place.
  14. The old man nodded, gingerly taking her hand and slowly hobbling over to a wall. He placed his hand on it and whispered a few words. The wall fell away, revealing a narrow, winding staircase.
  15. The old man nodded. "A noble task indeed." He thought for a moment. "There is always one of the penthouse suites." He noted.
  16. He nodded, and took her other hand, turning her to face him. He closed his eyes and placed his forehead against hers, diving into her memories.
  17. “Nice to meet you too. Are you going somewhere specific? Or would you like to get a little tour, have a little bit of fun?”
  18. Elan nodded. "Mind if I look into your memories? It'll make it easier to find."
  19. "Aniya... beautiful name." He nodded, hming to himself. "I am Mr. E."
  20. He took her hand, which felt warm in his. "Of course. Any places in mind?"
  21. He shrugged. "Never tried them. Architecture is... interesting." he looks up at her, his beady black eyes gazing at her piercingly, like ice. "What's your name, young one?"
  22. Gem yawned and finally woke up. Elan closed a book he had been reading and looked at her. "Hey." He smiled, feeling lucky to have her.
  23. The old man nods. He's kind of short, back bent over. A musty smell comes with him, like old books and semi-stale licorice. "Have you made it to your room yet? Or are you still touring the building."
  24. The old man hobbles over. "Majestic?" He rasps quietly, placing his mug on one of the stairs, and a worker comes, taking it away. "Or a letdown?"
