Dragon Steel 2023 Discussion
The flying spider replied to Silver Phantom's topic in Events and Signings
Those going to the convention can you update if you see that there selling stormight minis? If they are it would probably mean more chances that you'll be able to get them without supporting the kickstarter. I was debating between buying a pet tortoise (sulcta) or the minis but at the time had the budget for one so I got my pet tortoise (it was the right decision) but would love to get the minis and if they were selling there it would raise the chances of me being able to get them one day. Thank you -

Once they pass to Darkside he might be able to. -

It was one question leading to the other I think as the the story continues there's more suspicion that white sand works on Darkside especially the with the epilouge and baon should at least be mildly concerned. It doesn't have to go to the extreme. -

Finished white sand omnibus last night and it was great reading it back to back with the Prose seeing all the changes and how the ars Arcanum pages fill in a lot of information that you couldn't get otherwise. I really only have one question: Is baon the most powerful sand master? And by being a sand master shouldn’t he realize it is a threat to the dynasty and kill everyone on the ship? -

So I finished Warbreaker which was really great and solid (it's actually the first bradon book I read and when I finished it I snatched mistborn from my brother hand he forced me to give it back but instead gave me the way of king) now I know your saying it took you all this time to read Warbreaker will I might of also finished white sand Prose too reading 400 pages today. So Prose questions: What are star marks and why where they only added in the Omnibus? What happened to the epilouge? The sand master is performing a luehel bond? The investiture of the sand is the lichen? Do we know how people become sand masters? That's it for now and now it's time for white sand omnibus. (My physical still hasn't arrived) -

I don't thanks for asking. I only read the annotations at the end of the book it's to much for me to go back and forth and don't enjoy reading on a device. That why I was going to only read white sand omnibus or Prose but not both but I ended up transferring Prose to my kindle. -

Thanks. In the book people say he's around 5th highting so I guess that's what got me confused. -

I'm in the middle of Warbreaker and I have 3 questions: How many breathes does hoid have? Is there more the 10 heightening? Maybe if you had 100000 breath. In chapter 21 vasher says that if he had more breath he could maybe feel lichen on the stones yet it says the you get perfect life sense at the 4th but vasher is already at 5th so is that actually true? -
We know that the storm father is a big piece of honor that isn't splintered so maybe he could connect to odium or cultivation and still not be the most invested because he is only a part of honor.

The words of founding have a bit about this. After rereading hero of Ages I found the discovery of these new spikes to be a bit less cool.

I was reading your post quickly and didn't realize it was a link sorry. I'm reading physical so I read secret history after every chapter that involves it. Because I rather not go back and forth. I'm meant that a lot of secret history comes toward the end of the book so that makes that back half awesome but there isn't to much of kelseir in the beginning. My mistake with that sentence I'll fix it. The Spook part also didn't really make sense my bad -

I'm mostly talking about the first 500 pages and I'm only not enjoying them in the reread first time it was awesome. A lot of the secret history details are at the end of the book and not that much at the beginning so I did really enjoy it then. The obligaters knowing the key to the mist is fine I just feel like there was a better way to get to there. -

So I finished mistborn era one with secret history integrated friday night and over-all it was great thanks @Treamayne for recommending it. so I will have to admit I didn't like hero of Ages now when I was rereading it I realized when you you know a lot of the twists and what's going to happen at the end most of the book feels boring especially the fadrex plot line being useless, and Elend discovery about the mist and allomancers comes out of no were so I think I actually like well of Ascension quite a lot more. Most of my questions about the book are related to the words of founding but I will post those later. who is the announcer? With sazed being the Hero of Ages it can't be him so I thought maybe kelseir when he realized its sazed but what do you think? Also want is the cover this time? I know it's related to spikes but nothing else. -

Sazed says in the words of founding that the Inquisitors were spiked with health which is why they need to rest so much and healed very quickly so I think this proves that the lord ruler knew that there are keepers and used them to make inquisitores. I'm pretty sure it refers to when the lord ruler was still alive. -

I'm in the middle of the hero of Ages and I realized that keepers are being used to make inquisitores but the ministry claims that they died out 5 centuries ago you could say that lord ruler knew there is some left and purposly kept it a secret. but my actual question is if tindwyl and other occasional keepers where put there intentionally so that he could make inquisitors in the future? What do you think? -
Does anyone know non-crossover Mistborn stories?
The flying spider replied to AleStaar's topic in Sanderson Fan Works
I think the mistborn adventure game will tell you some stuff but it isn't cannon. It also has an 150 page story called a house of ashes but also that isn't cannon. -

Thanks for answering when I said rioter I simply meant to riot instead of soothing. Won't it be hard for two people to control it at once? -

So another update: finished well of Ascension which was great I enjoyed it a lot more than last time I read it. I know there are a bunch of people who want another mistborn era between 3 and 4 but after rereading mistborn I really want to see classical scadrial. I really liked secret history filling in the 2 weeks between the last chapter and the epilouge with dox and clubs funeral and more. I have 3 questions: I was trying to figure out for a long time and concluded the it is a lerasium bead? When Vin takes control of the kollos doesn't she have to swallow an insane amount of brass because the kollos are scattered all around the city? Can a rioter take control of a kandra? And know I will start the most depressing book with lot's of kelseir PS should and can I ask to move this to a different fourm? -

The flying spider replied to The flying spider's question in Cosmere Q&A
So I read the eleventh metal earlier this weak and started the final empire but then slowed down a bit with school starting. But today I had a lot of free time so I read 450 pages and finished it with some secret history at the end (my reading record in a day is 800 pages of WoR or OB surprisingly in my second reading) so next is well of ascension which is not very good in my opinion but still excited to read it again. -
I second this. I also think it would hurt the reader more if Dalinar turns into a bad guy, so I just don't think someone has to die for it to be impactful and sad. I think it makes a lot of sense for it to happen but I rather it not.
