  1. “Yeah, most curses aren’t, but you never know. Chances are we’ll be fine.”
  2. “It’s ok, the curse probably isn’t contagious,” Addison said, attempting to be comforting.
  3. Addison followed, her stomach rumbling again. She was very hungry, she didn’t know how long it had been since she’d last eaten.
  4. “We…might need to go soon,” Aaron said, picking up the axe. “Someone’s waiting for me at the cornucopia, and if I don’t go he’ll come find us, and we don’t want that.”
  5. Addison held out her hand to Jinx. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
  6. Aaron sighed in relief when he saw Jane was unhurt. He turned to the bird. “Could you please have your chicks stop touching that axe, I don’t want them getting hurt.”
  7. @SmilingPanda19
  8. “Yeah, me too. And books are good. Very good. And food, food is good.”
  9. “Then I’m glad I’m here. Doesn’t that make your job a little boring though?
  10. “I see. Does that kind of stuff happen often?”
  11. “What kind of bad intentions?”
  12. “I…wasn’t talking to you.”
  13. “Yeah, me too. How long hand you worked here? What all do you do?”
  14. Thank you! This is the first time I’ve written anything close to this style and it was a lot more emotionally impactful than I expected.
  15. “Umm…it’s a very hard question. Probably Mistborn: The Final Empire. What about you?” she asked. He seemed like a nice enough man.
  16. “Yeah, I get that,” she said, and she did understand. “I, of course, love to read. Other than that, I enjoy all art, and I’ve dabbled in writing.”
  17. I… well I wrote for the first time in a while, it’s not part of my book but I’m really happy with it. It’s a little short story that is kind of (really) depressing in some ways, so here’s a warning. @Edema Rue I wrote, please don’t beat me with the writing stick again!
  18. When he said he liked to read, she sighed. “Don’t we all. And what was your life like before you came here?”
  19. “I’ll get some later. You’re one of the first people to talk to me, or at least that I can remember, so I wanted to get to know you better. What do you like to do?”
  20. She looked over at him, then, shrugging her shoulders, she followed him. She wanted to meet the newcomer, food could wait. And she wanted to get to know Tal a little better, he seemed interesting in his own right.
