    He looked around. “I’m not sure. He does this sometimes…disappears. He’ll find us again eventually, if he ever even left.”

    She pulled him out of the cell.

    Interesting! I’m excited to learn more of the magic system.

    Eventually, she walked forward and pulled him out of the cell. Maybe now he’d wake up?

    She stepped towards him. Did he do that on purpose? Should she try to help him? No…he seemed to be acting of his own will. She waited for him to wake up, hoping he was ok.

    That would be impressive if you could keep that up, and I’d read them. Accountability helps.

    Addison stepped out and followed him. He seemed like he might need someone around, and there wasn’t anything she could do with the rest of the group. She followed him down to the basement and watched as he locked himself in a cell. What was he doing? And why did she feel like she needed to hide from him? She waited for him, stepping out into the open.

    Edgar smiled as her hands relaxed and he felt her fall asleep. He walked carefully, trying not to jolt her awake.

    And I look forward to seeing more of this! I want to know what happens! It’s a good start, I’m my estimation.

    I am here to help. “Of course, I’m happy to help.” He felt her added weight, but he ignored it for now. He continued walking.

    “Sure.” He stopped, then let her climb onto his back. Gift became a strange seat, spreading her weight across his body effectively.

    Edgar started waking. “Let’s get moving.” “Let me know if you want me to carry you or something.”

    He squeezed it back. “Yeah, that way.” @Random Bystander

    “Thank. I’m glad you can believe me.” He smiled back at her. “If you ever stop believing me though, I’ll swear it.” @Lunamor

    “I won’t. I never will,” he said seriously. He rested his head on hers for a moment. “I can swear it if you want. By the River Styx.”

    “She does seem pretty nice. I don’t know that Terrance doesn’t like you, he just seems like the untrusting type. When we met him, he was scared and we threatened him, even if it was with good intentions. And you might not seem like an outcast to him, with me around.” He shrugged. “Maybe if I left you’d get along better,” he said jokingly.

    Edgar waited too. “What do you think of the new girl? And Terrance?”

    He stood up, grabbing her hand and moving so their shoulders were touching.

    “Alright.” He turned back to Jenny. “Are you ready to go?”

    Edgar broke away from Jenny, but didn’t let go of her. “Probably. Are you guys ready to go?”

    She was blushing. He was too. He didn’t particularly care at the moment.

    He pulled her right up against him again. He liked it when she was close to him, and the closer the better.

    He smiled back, shivering slightly at her touch. He still couldn’t believe she loved him.

    He didn’t let go. He could see her barely controlled fear, and knew, somehow, that he was keeping it back. He wouldn’t have let go anyway though. ”I love you.”
