After the game was done, Edgar decided he needed to figure out what was going on with Jenny. Something had happened, and he needed to know how to help. “Will you walk with me for a little bit?” he asked Jenny.

He kissed her quickly. “Ok, let’s play.” He stayed next to her, hoping his presence could help her relax. “I love you.”

She would tell him what had happened if she wanted to. He didn’t want to force her to talk about something she didn’t want to. “Do you need anything?” he whispered to her.

Noticing that her face was streaked from tears and the just from the way Jenny was acting, Edgar immediately knew something had happened. Something not good. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him.

She sank to the floor again, then immediately fell asleep.

“Huh.” Her eyelids drooped. “I’m…tired.”

She turned to Jar Man. “What did you do to me?” @TheRavenHasLanded

“That’s…strange.”

The burns were not nearly as bad as they should have been, in fact, they seemed to be healing quickly, fading from her skin.

“M…maybe.”

“I mean…the pain. I don’t understand what happened. Thank you to.” Her voice was shaky, and her hands trembled as she stood on wobbly knees.

Addison slowly stopped shaking, her breathing ragged. “What…what was that?”

Addison followed him, her burns almost completely gone. She began shaking as the pain hit her. Not just the pain from the current burns, but all the pain she should have felt in the fire. She fell to the floor, thrashing with silent screams.

“We do.” She laid her hand on Tal’s arm. “We will figure it out.”

“Yeah, maybe. I’m not very sneaky though.” He shrugged.

“I don’t know. That might make it worse. He’s so confusing.”

“Do you think Terrance is ok?” Edgar whispered to Jenny. “I don’t want him to get hurt, I’m worried about him.” @Lunamor

She stood up again, looking into his eyes. Her voice was firm as she spoke. “You do not deserve to die, Tal. That wasn’t you attacking the Clinic. And as for the power of forgiveness…well if my mistakes don’t define me, then yours don’t define you, ok?”

“Are you sure?” She sank down to the ground. “I don’t want to hurt anymore.”

“No one else can understand because…because not even I understand. Why do I want this so badly, Tal?” Her voice grew weak. “I don’t understand.”

“I do,” she said firmly. “I am alone. No one else can understand.”
