He doesn’t respond. She can faintly see something moving around him, seeming to be attacking him.

“That’s amazing! I wonder if…” he began. Then he collapsed, body thrashing, face contorting in pain.

“Can you change the appearance of the room? Make it look likes forest or something?

“Show me some of your illusions.”

“Can you show me?”

“Only by accident.”

“So, how do you do it?”

“Ok. Thank you for doing this, I really appreciate it,” he said, his face slowly changing back to its normal color.

“I don’t think you need to do that. I like how you look.” He blushed, face turning bright red.

“Wow, how did you do that? Was it illusions or something else?”

“You do look pretty tired,” he said. “Not that that’s a bad thing though. It means that you do stuff.”

“I don’t want to keep you from your work, so if you need to go just tell me.” He followed her to wherever it is she goes.

“I’ll be fine, thanks for caring though. How much time do you have?”

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Unless you don’t want to, that’s fine too.”

“Yeah, it’s the fulfillment to my vision. So, where would be best to practice?”

“Food poisoning.”

“Well I meant to be early, but…some stuff happened.” As he said this, his face contorted in pain.

Daniel rushed in, pale-faced. “I’m so sorry I’m late!”

“That works for me, I was thinking just one of the empty classrooms but I’m good with anywhere.”

“I’m free almost anytime, I’m actually new here so I don’t have a full schedule. What time works for you?”

Daniel stood up, grabbing his bag. “Well, I guess I’ll see you later. I’m sorry for all of the trouble.”
