    Daniel immediately wanted to help her. He shoved those feelings down. He couldn’t help anyone, it was better to not try.

    *takes hot cocoa* There’s not a whole lot I can say about this, it has promise but there isn’t enough here for me to really have an opinion on it. If you write more of it let me know, I’ll read it for sure!

    Daniel looked over and saw the tear. His face softened, and he seemed almost about to say something. Them tears began to form in his own eyes and his face immediately hardened. “Do you know anything about where Julie is?” @Just-A-Stick

    Daniel just stared at his hands, face emotionless again.

    “No.” He lowered his chin, hiding the wound again.

    He slapped away her hand. “Can’t hurt me?” he asked with indignation. He lifted his chin, showing a wound on his throat that had just barely scabbed over.

    He sat, the same blank expression on his face. A silent tear slid down his face, but he ignored her handkerchief.

    Daniel didn’t respond. If Rex looked closely, she would have been able to see tears starting to form in his eyes.

    “I said I’m fine.”

    He didn’t respond.

    “She’ll be here soon.” He didn’t take her hand. “I’m Daniel.”

    Daniel immediately slapped her hand away with unnecessary force. “I’m fine. Julie was taken by some strange man, Cinder said you knew someone who was taken too. Something about red hair.”

    “She’s…someone important to me. Cinder said you might be able to help me find her.” He shows no reaction to her other actions.

    Daniel was thrown backward, nearly knocked of his feet. Then he stepped back towards Rex. “Help me find Julie,” he said in the same monotone voice.
