Daniel hated himself for doing this, for holding her, for how she made him feel. It wasn’t right, he thought he loved Julie… he did, right?

He held her close. He couldn’t let her get hurt. But…what about Julie?

“No.” Daniel said, with no room for argument in his voice.

Daniel caught her and pulled her into his arms, carrying her completely.

“No. I expect you to know because you should have been finding him all this time.”

“…you’re welcome.” He hated himself. So much.

Daniel, noticing her struggle, eventually put her arm and his shoulders, helping her more. He was so confused, his emotions made no sense.

He lets her. He…shouldn’t have. He should have been feeling like this. He looks at Cinder. “Where did you say that man was?”

“Then why are you here?”

“Last time she was alone, after you left her, she was already going to die. We help each other.”

“She’ll be worse off in the hospital. And who are you to tell us what to do?”

“I’m going to keep trying to find that person who took Julie. You can come with me if you want. Can you walk?”

“I’ll take care of it.” He helps Rex up, the carries her out of the hospital (non romantically)

“Ok, ok, I’ll get you out. You’re going to be ok.” He turned to the nurse. “I’ll take her from here,”

“It’s only going to be for a little bit.”

He squeezed her hand. “You need to stay here and get help.”
