Daniel paused, very confused. Then he continued on the path.

Daniel asks around, trying to see if anyone knew where Julie and was. @The Aspiring Archivist

Daniel took Rex to the hospital building. “She needs help. Make sure to watch her at all times. I need to go.” He made sure that she would get the help she needed, then left to go hunt for Julie. He had no idea where she would be though.

Daniel catches her again, then slings her over his shoulder and dutifully began carrying her. Then he saw the chaos happening at he Academy. Fire rain, ice spreading everywhere, and people screaming. He turned back the other way, walking towards what he hoped would be a hospital.

Daniel grabs her and stops her from falling. “Do you want me to carry you?”

“I imagine. Are you ok to walk?”

“I do, it’ll be better for you there.” He let go of her and stood up, offering his hand to help her up.

“Here, we need to get you somewhere nicer. Back to the campus?”

“What is it? There’s something, don’t tell me there’s not.”

“That would make it worse.”

“It’s nothing you can help with.”

“It’s…nothing.”

Daniel began to shake again, his entire body trembling. He stopped as soon as possible, trying not to make it worse for Rex.

Daniel began to cry silently again.

Daniel felt very guilty. Julie had just been…killed? And here he was with another girl. It wasn’t anything like with Julie, he didn’t love her, but still, he felt awful. But she needed him, and so he’d be there for her, no matter how much it hurt.

Slowly, Daniel hesitantly wrapped his arms around her.

“I can’t stop you if that’s what you decide, but I will try to convince you not to. You don’t deserve this, what you’re doing to yourself. You think you do, but you’re wrong. No one deserves this.” He gently touched her arm, “Please don’t.”
