“…you’re like me, aren’t you. People don’t care about us, so we have to care for each other.”

“Why? I still don’t understand what I’ve done to gain your favor.”

“Why? Why would you want that?”

“Coming here. Getting me a body. Being with me.”

“But I do. I’m confusing you and causing you to make decisions you normally wouldn’t.”

“I’m sorry.” He’s going to leave, won’t he. Now that he knows who I really am.

“Tayen, you’re much too hard on yourself. You’re a lot better at things than you think you are, and I want you to stop thinking you’re not useful. You’ve helped me more than you know already.”

“…yes. Do you want to hear it?”

“You helped by being there, by caring, by comforting. And I went to you because I trust you to help me instead of throw me out.”
