Weaver of Shadows

A man seemed to materialize out of the darkness, moving silently to Helda’s prone figure.

“I won’t die.” “And I love you too,” he said. “Alright, we really should go now though.”

“I know. I still care about you, even if you aren’t him. Just…not in the same way I guess.”

“And leave you? No, I don’t think so. Just because you can’t remember me doesn’t mean I will leave you.” “I’m fine,” he said simply. “Actually, better than fine with you next to me.”

She shivered more, the night growing colder. She pointedly didn’t look at Tayen. - - - Daniel stood, then pulled Rex to her feet. “How are you feeling?” @Just-A-Stick

Helda curled up, trying to keep warm in the cold night. She shivered, wishing there was someone to keep her warm.

“We could go to the cafeteria I guess, if you want?” - - - “Then we might be sleeping outside.” @The Aspiring Archivist

“Yeah.” She left, then came back a couple minutes later, carrying a bucket.

“I think…I think there might be something still wrong, more than just your memories being lost. Can I check?”

“I allowed you to do something that indirectly caused you to forget.”
