You have never said the phrase "A-Copper and F-Aluminum" in your entire time at the shard! And I have too much time on my hands! So in any case, this thread is really showing me how much we don't really know about identity, connection, fortune etc. We know what they are... kinda. and we know what they might do... maybe? hopefully these get cleared up in a book coming soon. (mistborn era 3 sounds promising, as they might apply the scientific method to things)

I only spoke English when reading mistborn, so I read it the way Sazed pronounces it himself (according to Brandon), similarly to fazed.

yeah, zinc is really cool. F-tin is still cool as well though.

Really depends on how thinking faster or slower works. Would thinking slower mean you think, see, and do other mental things half as fast (or something like that)? In that case, I can see storing when bored or waiting as a viable option.

I think feruchemy and feruchemical are the canonical versions, along with being the most widely used. I could be wrong though.

I think Koloss17 uses feruchemantic instead of feruchemical when talking about feruchemy, this doesn't include allomancy. I have already pledged my allegiance to F-tin, but if I had to choose something else, I would go with F-zinc.

I'm pretty sure there's basically no atium around anymore, so if you could find some, it would be an even bigger waste. Also, random thought I had: Atium is named after ati, lerasium after leras, and trellium after autonomy's avatar. These are all names of people. But it's not sazedium, it's harmonium (or ettmetal I guess).
-
The resonance needs to be toned down, resonances of metals would probably be pretty weak. Also, as far as I know, atium is pretty short term. atium would be hard to access, so I think it would be 4/10.

This has been discussed in a prior forum thread: So storing in a primer cube would store the ability to feel pain, not the pain itself. If you wanted the crowd control bit, you would have to hurt everyone, at least a bit. But interrogation would be absolutely horrible with F-tin primer cubes. Also, to Koloss17: you're the only thing that shows up when I search the tag F-tin lol.

The special commission came back with 12% F-tin and 88% not F-tin (29 posts not F-tin, 4 with F-tin). F-zinc is mid. (it's normally great, but it cannot stand against the pure awesomeness of F-tin.)

F-duralumin is connection, as Trusk'our pointed out. Maybe the approach is faster than we all thought . I am not joking when I say I thought of making the exact same post about 30 minutes before you made yours. This is a good thread. EDIT: page 10

>:( the fact that this pun is so great is very frustrating.

No underline or bolding? Cringe. Brawler seems like a solid name, boxer doesn't really bring in the fortune element that much for me.

I declare my allegiance to the F-tin cult

I think campfire works really well as a name

A-bendalloy + F-steel is just speed, so I assume it would meet the same restrictions as a steel compounder (air resistance) Honestly, being a steel compounder is probably more useful because you get steelpushing as well. Interestingly, you burn allomantic metals faster while tapping speed, so you'd probably get some exponential stuff going on with both of these combinations, where you tap speed, start to burn faster, have quicker effect of burning metals, go even faster, start to tap speed faster, etc.

So this is a pretty massive stretch, but what if running at night is linked to Mercy?
-
Maybe the resonance could be something along the lines of speeding up recovery of others? In the same vein, the name could be healer.
-
You're right. Also, going off of the fact that F-tin mimics A-tin in a lot of ways, I'm assuming it's only the 5 senses (the sense of pain being included in there, under sense of touch.)
-
Spoilers for Tress of the Emerald Sea: So there is precedent for these other "senses" to be seen as senses, in which case tin becomes even better. I'm starting to feel like F-tin is pretty broken, if this applies.

Taken out of the context of only having F-copper, other ferrings have use for this too. Say we have a skimmer. Let's name him William. William is kinda heavy, and to get around more easily, he stores a bit of weight in his metalmind constantly. But metalminds can become full (I think filling a metalmind makes it so that you can't store anything more in it, if I'm wrong then this doesn't apply), and as such he might want to wipe his metalmind to allow him to continue storing his weight.
-
If you could localize which areas heated, you might be able to get hotter, but eventually you would just radiate enough heat to melt your metalminds to slag anyways. However, the Coppermind mentions "It is difficult, but possible, for a brass Compounder to create so much warmth that they can hurt themselves in the process.", so this isn't a viable strategy anyways.

better than mine lmao

Well, that's sort of the same thing as with animals. Animals can be spiked hemalurgically, as such, you could use a copper spike in order to give them intelligence, but we don't. I think it's entirely ethically clear that we shouldn't. That mindless state is the natural state, and as such I think it's perfectly fine to keep mistwraiths as mistwraiths. However, I could see the argument that they are aware something is wrong, and so it isn't the same thing.

Nah, it's good, half of the 17th shard is dead anyways (rithmatist forum could really use some love)
