Sighsleeper barely makes dent in the metal, but you notice as it reaches for you that it's joints hvae small cracks in them as they turn, as if the cylinders that form the arms don't fit perfectly together. It tries to grab your shirt to throw you off.

@Ookla the Silver, here's a test. An awakened metal humanoid thing towering at ten feet steps out of a door in the sparring arena, huge iron fists. Alan goes "Three, two one!" And the awakened 'thing' runs towards Maki. This is meant to see if you can think fast enough for a strategy not using a feeble dagger as a weapon, althoug sighsleeper isn't really 'feeble'

@Ookla the Silver your turn for the fighting test now. what is Maki's specialty? It might take a little bit to get throigh everyone who wanted to do a test.

Correct! You pass the test. The elevator thing was way too complicated for anyone to know. It was an assasination attempt gone wrong, as he didn't know that Antione was in the elevator.

A bullet in the back of his head, his apartement on the twentieth floor of the building. There was signs pointing that the door's lock had been broken open, through what means baffled the constables. There was one 'witness' to the crime, an older lady named Candice Gralleux, who had been eating dinner at the time. She had heard a gunshot and a scream from the man's room. There were security guards at each stairway, and they reported only seeing three people go up the stairs before the murder that day, most out for work. The first was Candice, who had hobbled slowly and with much help up the stairs, as the elevator was recently broken. The second, a man named Pierre Cromoux, a wealthy man who had never met the victim, and had been having dinner with the third person, Antoine Greroux, a noblewoman from New Seran who was visiting. She was a known coinshot, working as a elevator repairwoman who was in Elendel coincidentally when she agreed to look at the broken elevator. It had first broken with her on it, when she was headed for a different dinner party the week before, with the victim. The victim had been in the elevator at the time of it's failure, and only when they had almost plummeted to their deaths had she scrambled out of her panic to hit the emergency stop button. Pierre had been on the awaiting floor, waiting for the elevator at the time, hoping to encounter his beau. Who killed the man? What was their motive? (Worth two points.) Is there any meaning to the elevator failure? Any other facts about the elevator you saw of importance? you need only get one question right to pass.( Don't want to make things too hard.)

"I think I'm a bit tired now." Alan says, mostly to get the story moving, so.... Anyone want to attempt one of the three tests? The tests are fighting, thinking, and strength/problem solving if you know a way to do it without using strength.(Usually an obstacle course.)

I am halfway through a book called : the monsters know what they're doing. Its about how every monster in D&D reacts to being attacked, when it runs away, how it operates an attack, and which of it's attacks truly has the best chances at high damage.

Alan drops his cane again, pulling the Vasher trick, punching towards PoMee's chest.

Yeah, you had two canes. Alan, the trainer only has one. He swing quickly to bat at the 'javelin' knocking it slightly off course into his thigh. He grimaces and does a powerful overhead 'chop' at PoMee. BTW : Klatva, the examiner, has walked into the sparring room, holding a clipboard and pencil.

" Well, I've got a few other tricks. See how you fare against... this!" He throws a small wooden obeject with a blue circle on the front, which careens through the air, hitting the dueling cane. It becomes worn and broken, as if it had been in use for a century. He lunges with his cane at PoMee. @Ookla the Magician

I feel like at some point investiture and the power that powers the aethers are going to combine, and it will form something evil. other theory : aether + investiture = dawnshard.

I think the big bad could be lopen, as he finds out how to make harmonium bombs with trellium, and destroys the cosmere

He lurches backwards, a cane slapping his side. ”go a little easy, I don’t have magic constitution like you.” for that talking about sighsleeper : go for it! Seems like a great idea.

dissapointed

The trainer does a little spin, jabbing forwards his dueling cane. When PoMee invevitably comes for the parry @Ookla the Magician I'mm assuming PoMee tries to parry, The trainer drops his cane, delivering a punch to PoMee's gut. "I learned that one from Vasher." He says, grinning. "Odd how many people have picked up his fighting style."

The trainer's muscles are powerful as he steps back, testing PoMee's skill with a lunge forward, cane thrumming through the air. "Maki and Nick! Why don't you two spar with each other?" He sugggests, only able to really train one person at a time.

"That was odd." The battle training instructor says, swinging a cane towards PoMee. he swings it overhead like a club.

Okay then.... ...... .... wait what? no I know what you mean, it's just odd to read.

"Here." He walks to the side of the room, flicking a lever which turned a shelf. he picked up two dueling canes, tossing one to PoMee.

"Well, let's see you with the canes." He says to PoMee, then turns to Maki. "You want some ropes to practice awakening?"
