The Stormfather

One more push. One chance. One shot. Maj raised his machete towards the Greenspine, other hand out in a fist above the blade. A fight to end it all. Maj looks at the Greenspine, trying to assess how much Berin did when he fought the beast, and trying to look for a potential vulnerability in it's defences.

"That could be quite useful." Deven says. "We should get moving. I think there's a door somewhere... Well, there has to be, otherwise there'd be no way to get into the building." Deven looks around for a moment before pointing towards a sliding glass door. "There. That's where we go in."

Also, if there were any of the electric Auton, if they had a connection to a command centre, he might be able to mess with the commands.

The reporters eyes widen slightly, and he nods. "Okay.." "Maybe. Most of the people who would be in the building have been forced to leave by the police, but I'm sure that there are still a few security guards scattered in the building." Deven points to a large, grey skyscraper that stands beside the one that had just been exploded. "Teleporter's in that one, by all reports. It's a big building, so it may take a good amount of time to get through it. If do we have any good ways to find that thing in there?"

"Okay." The reporter takes it, looking it over oddly. He goes into his camera, which seems to have a computer attached to it, and quickly starts uploading the recordings. "If what you're saying is true, you may want to get away from the Telecorp HQ."

"Uh... " The reporter pauses for a moment. "I could put the recordings on the news right now, I mean, I have a camera crew."

"Fine. I'll... See what I can do." The officer heads into his car with the other. "We'll find our chief. He'll know what to do." he says through the window before you drive away. The reporter walks closer to Nick. "Did you say you had recorded interviews?"

SIMON finds that it is a commonly used law to arrest people or at least convict them when there is no perfect evidence, yet there are many witnesses and ones that there is little to make them unreliable. "Okay..." The reporter says.

“How did you get out? It doesn’t make sense!” The same officer responds. Tell him that you invoke law B one dash four three five, which should let you put him under suspicion through personal experience and multiple witnesses. “Okay…”

They gather together and whisper to each other for a few seconds. One of the officers seems skeptical, and approaches Nick. "If you were in the Loop, how did you get here? Shouldn't you still be Teleporting around?"

"Alrighty then!" Mark grins. "Sweets, be loud. Mare, be quiet."

"Uh..." One cameraman pauses. "Who is this guy?" A police officer asks. "I think he's the guy from the show, right?" Another responds. "You know maybe Ardaklin did capture them. It would make sense, right?" A reporter asks. "We can't just go after Ardaklin himself!" The higher-ranked officer says. "He's got billions of dollars at his disposal, and we're a bunch of local cops and cameras." "What evidence does this guy even have?" The first officer says. "He can't even prove that he is that guy from the show." "Well, if that suit can do what it's supposed to be able to do..." The reporter looks at Nick.

Sweets and Mark return to the worksite after a few minutes. "So... Does anyone have an actual plan, or are we just gonna' wing it?' @Ookla de los cuervos

He quickly spots a crew with mics and cameras talking to one of the police officers, who has a badge on his lapel that signifies a higher rank.

"HOPEFULLY NOT!" Arc would... Try to scheme the hell out of this. "Hey, I know where a group of three tributes is! I'll tell you where they are if you let me live!" As he says this, Maj darts backwards, lifting his machete in tired hands.

Maj leapt from the tree, landing heavily on his feet and rolling to the side to deflect some of the fall, though his knees burned from the impact. Maj spins and throws his empty backpack at the Greenspine, hoping it might slow or distract the beast.

Damn it. ”Well we’re both dead either way.” Maj lifts his machete, mentally readying himself for another fight.

“Supposedly, the combination of Aviar lets you do it. A Command, maybe?” Maj glances towards the water nervously, and sweat trickles down his face.

“Oh, seriously? Again?” Maj throws up his arms. “Damn turtle won’t quit.” “Crud.” What would Mark do? What would Mark do? The simple thought repeated in his head as possibilities flitted through his mind like the butterflies he chased as a child. But none stayed. He couldn’t think of anything that his favourite Edgedancer could do in this scenario that didn’t involve Edgedancing and running away. ”I’m tired of running.” Maj snarled. “I’m tired of being a slave to these storming Gamemakers. I’m done being a puppet, a toy for them to play with.” He looked out towards where the Greenspine approached. “I’m tired of being prey.” He lifted his gaze upwards. “It’s high time I was the one who could win.” What would Mark do? What would Mark do? What would Mark do? Run. Die. What would Maj do? Different from Mark? Fight, inevitably die. Run, inevitably die. Hide, inevitably die. Die. What could Mark do in this situation? What could anyone? Run, die. Hide, die. ”What would Mar- What would Arc do?” Maj blinked. Burn the forest. Mutually assured destruction. Blackmail the Gamemakers. Die. Die. Die. Sacrifice someone else…. To save yourself. Maj turned to look at Murr, a stupid, horrible plan that hurt him to even think of, forming in his head. “You have a bunch of Aviar, right? Well, there’s something I heard. Something…. A rumour. That when you could combine the powers of certain Aviar…. It could do what happens with Compounding metals. An explosion of power. And the way…” Maj paused. “The way to activate it was to take in another source of investiture, because the birds don’t have enough to do it alone. But another thing I heard about this… It lets you steal investiture to do that. So Murr, you could… you could steal that things Investiture, and fight it! You could destroy it, and rid this arena of that abomination?”

Deven nods to Nick. “News reporter and camera crew. Around the side of the building, I think their truck went.” He points.

“Yeah.” Deven nods. “If there are gunmen supporting any Auton, it would be good if you could teleport at them and take them down, as it’s very hard to face someone in melee with a rifle aimed at your head.”

“How exactly do you intend to remove the armour? It’s not like human armour, it’s bolted right onto them.” “Good.” Deven nods. “We should be able to break through somewhere and find that machine.” “Fair enough.” Guys… Get going. He’s going to try and Teleport you away to some random planet. You probably only have a few hours.

“I do hope that you are good with that blade. I am… well, combat does some odd things to a scarred man like me.” He shrugs. “ Turns out, enough blows to the head, it actually does something.” ”No matter. We should be fine, as all of you have skills that they will be unable to predict. So, those of you that are coming with me in the assault on the actual Teleporter, what is our plan of attack?”

Deven looks at Aki. “I apologize, but our swords are expensive in their own right and are not something that we’re willing to give away.”

"Yes, we can probably find one." "You should release the interviews right after you go to the press, I think. I'm not sure, to be honest. Things like that don't make much sense, really."
