Kaladin's Ideals get more and more personal as he progresses
1st Ideal— Need help remembering who else was there
2nd ideal— Select few of Bridge 4 hear him say this
3rd Ideal— Says only in presence of Moash, Graves, and Elhokar.
4th Ideal— Says only in (supposed) presence of himself, then realizes Dalinar also heard (he says he hears a familiar voice, we know in Ch. 111 of Row that it was Dalinar who accepted the words).
I mention this because it shows the progression in his oaths and how they become more and more personal to him, so he is really the only one who needs to hear them, to convince himself by Ideal 4 that he is not to blame for losing many he loved.

So Dalinar, as the father in this relationship, can see the past through Honor's visions. Like all parents, they've seen the past before their child was born. And now Renarin, the child/son, can see the future, as children will most likely see the future decades after their parents are gone. Just thought this was a nice poetic touch!

[RoW] [Discuss] Urithiru Origin

Thoughts on the following:
Urithiru is always mentioned as the seat of the Knights Radiant. Did they create it, or merely inhabit it? If the latter, was it created similar to the cymatic cities we've seen? The Sibling claims that the Oathgates do not belong to them, so they were likely added later by Radiants. This would explain why the Gate at Narak is unharmed despite the shattering AND why it doesn't fit in with the cymatic pattern (no Oathgate does, hinting that they were place there much later in time). Also, there are 11 cities with gates if you count Urithiru, but how many Dawncities are there? 10, 11, 16?
