    Spark looked up at the mountain. "Maybe. Just an idea, but maybe we should split up into two groups, at least for a while. One team to make the fires, the other for some recon. Just see what's ahead, what we're dealing with."

    "I say that's a problem for another time." She laid down the trombone. "Everything we have now has some kind of practical use, even if it's not the intended one. If it disappears, we don't know if we can get them back. And we don't know if there's a limit to how many things we can get out of the backpacks."

    "Well, I mean it could be a survival tool." She took off the slide and started spinning the two parts like dual blades. "I can whack people or creatures with it. And also soundtrack this adventure."
