    “She named it after a couple things. Before I was born, my family had a dog named Lucky, so called because he led my dad to my mom. The other thing she named it after was the Redspine. He was an intelligent creature, and because he didn’t want to be forced to harm the tributes, he asked her to kill him. It was quick and his choice, but it still rattled her.”

    He led her upstairs. The first room was a bedroom- presumably Marewill’s. Lucky Red was laying on the bed. Seeing Meron, he started to wag. “Hey there, buddyyyyy.” He started petting the dog, who looked very happy.

    “Hey, Mom! Just borrowing Red for a bit.” ”Did you ask Mare?” ”We’re staying here.” ”Just… make sure to tell her.” ”Sure thing.”
