He scratched its head. “N-no!” He flushed. “It’s just a habit,” he muttered.

“I wasn’t about to come out here without pants on!” He smiled at it.

He grinned and let it chew on his hand. “I’m not! It was too hot in the bathroom!”

“No! It was too hot in there.” That was good. He picked one up and petted it.

He fought them away. “I have one.” He pulled it on.

He came back out about twenty minutes later without a shirt on. He was very, very muscly.

He left his armor and sword in her room, then went into the bathroom and took a steamy shower.

“Thanks. This is nice.”

“I’ll do that. Thanks.”

“Uh, yeah. Just wanted to make sure that, uh, you weren’t a spy.”

He asked her where the showers were.

“H-hey!!!”

He stared at her for a second, then started laughing.

“No she won’t. Here.” He took the coffee from her and made a pot, then poured her a mug. “Here you go.”

“Want coffee? I can make some for you.” He stood and crossed over to her.

He saw her. “Hey! You’re awake. How are you feeling?”

Alex was snacking in the kitchen.

He blinked, surprised, then caught her and found a bedroom to put her in.

“Can I go with you?”

“So… when are you on duty?”

He smiled at her. She was pretty.

“Uh—n-no. No. I’m not a spy.” He paused. “I want to take them down. I want my sister safe again.”

“They said if I fought for them they’d give her back. But I don’t really want to kill you guys.”
