  1. “Yeah Trevor is the…hawk…” Tal trailed off as Almond ran off.
  2. SURVIVE STEAL FOOD HERE *gives chocolate*
  3. Th-thank you? … … … I’m writing as fast as I can It feels super messy and disjointed but uh there’s always editing.
  4. Tal winced. “Ah…maybe Trevor can. I think it’s best if I stay here.” Not always, Tal sent. There are…things we can’t control. And sometimes people make mistakes.
  5. “Mm…” Tal nodded, looking away. “It makes sense. That’s why I’m down here. Dangerous magic.”
  6. "Yeah," Tal said. "Yeah, it is. Do you want to go outside?"
  7. Ripping At Our Seams (2):
  8. "The...outside?" Tall shrugged. "Everyone is food to someone."
  9. Tal coughed. "I feel for him." "Right, uh, Almond, was it?" Tal gestured to Trevor. "This is Trevor. He's not going to eat you."
  10. "Well..." Tal shrugged. "Old guys usually grumble a lot. What was he grumbling about?"
  11. "Okay," Tal said, taking a long breath. They're okay. And they'll be okay, as long as you stay out of everything. "That's good. Thanks, Trevor."
  12. Tal let him for a moment, then sat back up. "Have people...died out there?"
  13. If your character goes insane, kills someone, and starts chugging their blood, I might be a little more lenient than canon would require…
  14. Tal lowered his head. Is this what you want? And yeah, that’s what please means.
  15. Tal’s hand started shaking. He didn’t notice. “I-I don’t know about that, little buddy.”
  16. “Hey, buddy,” Tal murmured quietly, leaning back against the wall. “Do you know what’s going on out there?”
  17. GOOD *brandishes the writing stick that’s looking more and more like a spear*
  18. Thanks, Tal said. You’re nice too. “Hey,” Tal said, once again wondering if he’d finally lost his mind for good. No. This doesn’t feel like last time. “I’m all good in here, actually. What, uh, what brings you to the basement?” Tal snorted softly. As soon as Trevor was gone, he pulled his head back into the cell.
  19. No eat otter, Tal replied. Not yet, anyway. Maybe find…uh…a mouse or something?
  20. An…otter? Tal glanced around, then saw the otter. Oh. An otter. “How’d you get here?” He called to it. Trevor, maybe don’t eat that.
  21. Tal sighed and stuck his head out, glancing around. He blinked at the voice that appeared in his mind. Not the one he expected. Is that you? He sent to the bird, privately wondering if he’d gone mad. Then, ruefully, editing that thought to just how mad he was.
  22. Tal started to lean to look out the cell, but didn’t dare cross the boundary line. “Is something out there?”
  23. “Watcha lookin at, little buddy?”
  24. Yup, you don’t bring anything in with you. It’ll have been very extreme (for example, if you had a metal screw in your leg from a surgery, they’d take it out, put in metal that can’t be used for feruchemy, and still be watching you carefully). Don’t worry too much though, we’ll take care of you guys
