It’s been raining all morning, which was nice because we were watching the Crucible (to get ready to perform it) and watching people get hung with rain and wind being loud is a great deal of fun.
But now it’s snowing. Which is very sad because I can’t hear it anymore :(.
But also,

Rue gave him a flat look, but wove a careful illusion that made her look young, rather than ageless, and inverted it.

Rue shrugged. “If we’re careful? None. If we’re not? Witches and Warders.” She paused, then slipped a ring off her finger and stepped through the gateway.

Siylna opened the box. Tell me more about Victor.

Community Hall: Rue starts sorting through them. “These are so old,” she mutters. “One second.” She opens a gateway to her own rooms, and a notebook pops out. She flips through it, stopping on an incredibly detailed map. “There,” she says, pointing.

Rue hesitated. “There’s a boathouse near the river where no one goes.”

Siylna glowers at him.

Siylna hisses, furious, and spins, trying to find Elan. "What are you doing?"

Siylna puts him in an aluminum box. Yes, she thinks, just before shutting the lid. Siylna snorts. "He's better this way than he was before."

Siylna hesitates, then presses a button, and a small hologram appears in front of Elsie. She smiles, then speaks so only Elsie can hear. "I know. But I also know that he's not the boy he was, and to force him to be that boy again after all he's done...it would break him. Do you really want that?" Hush, spirit, Siylna thinks aggressively at him.

Siylna, who had been quietly fuming, finally answered. "Yes," she said, "I've known him since we were 12. But he's grown more in that time than he ever did while you knew him, in your pitiful little district."

Clinic: Community Hall "Most do," Rue said without any particular emotion. "Shall we go?"

Siylna smiled tightly. “Since we were children. But that isn’t important; after all, you’ve seen who he is now. Mine.”

“Victor Forlin. Son of Eddie Forlin, and my lover.”

Siylna pressed a button. “There is no one here by that name.”

Rue gave him a flat look, then turned to the rest of the group. “We ready to go?”

Siylna frowns. I would have thought his mother taught him better than that… @Ancient Elantrian

Rue scowled. “Don’t ever pretend to understand me.”

She moved her hand to his shoulder. “Now, how do you want to kill her?”

Siylna touches his cheek gently. “You’re safe, Victor. I love you.”
