Tal raised an eyebrow. "Peasant? Watch your tongue. We have a chapel in the 14th courtyard, but there haven't been any arteths here in a long time." And thank goodness for that... "You're welcome," he added, annoyed. Rue fell, suddenly, through the floor of the forest and completely out of sight.

Dilsha raised an eyebrow. "Yes. Let's go." Dilsha stepped forward, and the light moved with her.

"Better than you!" Eddie called. "Stay away from my mom!" She laughed.

"Oh boy oh boy!" Pol runs up to the deck excitedly. "Okay mister sir pirate sir!" Pol threw a burnt potato at him.

Yay! Sometimes that's how it goes, but now it exists and you can always edit it later. I enjoyed it!

I wouldn't say I do it naturally, just that...I have a lot of practice writing with tears as my ink and a breaking heart as my page. The more you do it, the better it gets

She yanked out a strand of her hair, muttered a word, then said "Glow." A small light filled the room. "That won't for long. Maybe 30 minutes at the most."

Rue kept watching the trees, and TAAron, and everything. Tal handed him a notebook. "I don't have breaths, and I don't feed on investiture. Even if I did, I wouldn't give them to you. It's common courtesy not to go around asking people for their breaths," he added sternly, then winked. "Investiture...there's a perpendicularity in the second basement, and a lot of people carry some around. You can probably find a stave in one of the basements, or I can summon you one."

"Sure." Rue looked around at the trees. They seemed...hostile? No, no, that was ridiculous. Trees couldn't be hostile.

"It would be best to kill her," Dilsha says, frowning, "How close is she?"

"Nope, no problems with him at all. None. Nope." Tal tries very hard not to look at the copy of Words of Radiance open on his desk. "A room, yes..." He pulls through a drawer, coming out with a tiny black key. "If you want food, the mess hall is on the third floor. Your room is up the 4th spiral staircase on the left, then to the left and up the ladder, down the purple stairs, and it'll be on the right, under the gargoyle."
