Heeheehee thank you guys so much for the poking...I love this scene, so much. If you don't want to read my lil words, you never have to. Okay. So this scene happens immediately after Ien reads this letter. WARNING: romance ahead!!

He smiled. "I'm Lord Farquad Fen Dinsal the 3rd."

He sucked in a breath at the sight of her, "I-" he shook his head. "I dare not say, lest my words prove themselves inadequate."

"Of course," he said amiably. "I'll...just wait outside, then." He turned and stepped out the door, closing it softly behind him.

He gave her a deep nod, almost a bow. "Will you favor me with a walk, then, my lady?"

"I'd like to be," he said softly. "I'd like to be."

He laughed. "Probably true. I'm lucky I passed my reflex save have good reflexes."

"That's all right," he said. "I should have approached you differently."

He smiled shyly. "I've heard a lot about your family, and even more about you. The girl no one loves. Forever alone, refusing to be pinned down by a man...I don't want to pin you down. I want to fly free with you."

Eddie looked around at all of them, eyes wide. "I'm just trying to help," she whispered, then turned and ran.

Eddie looked around nervously. "We need to find a way to stop this from spreading."

"Actually," he said, blushing faintly, "I asked for you."

Eddie nodded. She closed her eyes and concentrated, and a cocoon wrapped around Calev.

"Easy, easy, it'll just remove the artifact's effects from your mind, make everything right again. That's what you want, right?" She looked to Anna for reassurance.

Eddie turned back to him. "Lil and Aster were exploring, and they came upon an artifact that altered their memories. Then, when I went to visit, it tried to change mine too. It must be having an effect on you." Eddie nodded. "I can fix his the way I fixed yours."

Eddie blinked. "That's ridiculous...Lil, do you think that artifact that was affecting your memories is...I don't know...contagious?" @Ookla the Raveness

"Maybe at first," he said, winking.

Eddie blinked, holding up her hands, as if in surrender. The effect was only slightly diminished by the fact that she was covered in fire. "What happened to me? What happened to you? Are you okay? What...what happened while I was gone?"

"Are you okay?"

Eddie blinked, and, although she wasn't aware of it, a strand of her magic snaked out of her mind and into his, filling in the gap with years worth of memories.

Eddie laughed. "Then eat later! Your choice."

Eddie smiled at him, eyes worried. "Are you...are you okay? This is the University, it's...did something happen?"

Eddie looked conflicted. "We have to go to class...why don't you and Aster go? Charlie and I will meet you after."
