I...don't think being taller than me is an accomplishment. I don't know (or know of) any sharders who are shorter than me. Yet. I'm sure some exist. Because I'm not that short.

Rue stepped out to the side, and a small fireball appeared in her hands. "The only one we've managed to kill had his head cut off," she called. One of the inquisitors moved forward, inhumanely fast, and slashed at Melody with the daggers. The other moved toward TAAron with a long wooden pole, looking wary.

"Be sorry later," Rue hissed as one of the inquisitors pulled out a pair of daggers.

“I…don’t know.” “We need to get out of here,” Rue said, backing away from the inquisitors. “And we need to kill these…things.”

The remaining two inquisitors looked at each other, then started running towards the gateway. Rue took a sharp breath, and it snapped shut. "I...don't know if I can do that again," she said.

Rue pushed him through, then glanced at the figure. "Melody?" She asked. @Aeoryi

*gasps* fight those librarians, get that book!!

Rue looked down and frowned. Another gateway popped open, this one leading to the clinic. "Go back. I...would rather you be safe. I'll get them out." Rue raised an eyebrow. "Get through the gateway, idiot." Rue started pulling Aventine through the gateway.

Rue cursed, pulling him through the gateway and out of the cell. It would be so easy to go back to the clinic...but Aventine's gaze haunted her. Yet, neither of them could fight. Then she saw a figure approaching. @Aeoryi

Cells start appearing on the sides of the tunnel, and soon she sees a fight in front of one. TAAron and Rue are in the cell with a pair of mangled inquisitors. Three more are outside with Jar Man and an unconscious Aventine. His head gets cut off. "I..." Rue shakes her head. "I can't hurt them. But maybe..." She weaves a gateway, and a second one pops open just outside the cell. "We can at least get out. But the power doesn't feel as strong...I don't know how long I'll be able to hold onto it."

Rue nodded, watching the injured inquisitors warily. "I could...I could make a gateway out, but we need to help them." She nods at Aventine and Jar Man. As she walks, the pulses get stronger. The inquisitor still didn't respond. It didn't seem to notice pain.

The inquisitor doesn't react. Another one comes up behind him and brings a wooden pole down on his head. Hard. The tunnel is damp stone, and extends in two directions. Both look identical.

Rue blinked, then immediately Healed him. The inquisitor catches him and holds him tight. "Stop that," it growls.

The inquisitor fell to the ground next to its companion, not dead but unable to get up. The coins kept going, though. Rue was reaching, reaching...Aventine trusted her...there. She felt herself touch the power and opened her eyes.

There doesn't appear to be any. The inquisitor threw up an arm just in time, keeping the spikes from hitting its face. It grimaces and pushes the rest of the coins at Jar Man, aiming mostly for his chest and shoulders.
