    There are none…only the ghostly blue staircase where the original one once was.

    Just starting Babel by R. F. Kuang, I’ve heard a lot of really good and really bad things about it…I love her style, but it’s definitely slow. So far it kind of reminds me of The Secret History by Donna Tartt.

    It goes through the door. He notices something, though...his fingers are faintly blue, and he can see through them.

    It feels like leaning against a net. Eventually, he came to a long staircase. It was glowing blue, and beneath it was a decayed mass of wood.
