  1. "I like you, kid" Dert said, even though she could've only been a few years older than Kandy. "Have you ever considered becoming a peacekeeper yourself?"
  2. "Oh certainly, though I couldn't point out which ones they were to you, of course." She said, her smile turning devious.
  3. "Your parents sound like interesting people," She said with a smile. "Each peacekeeper does something different depending on their department and where their stationed, I've already explained to you my current role in some detail. Lower level peacekeepers act as guards, higher ones have more . . . classified duties. It's fairly simple.
  4. "How does all of what work?" Dert asked, glancing around the blank hallway.
  5. They arrived at the station, a tall foreboding building with little decoration on the outside. The lawn was clean and perfect in the most dreary way possible. Peacekeepers were stationed at the doors, and officers of different levels came in and out of the building. Dert led them inside to a front lobby without being interrupted. Her rank as 'Inspector,' was clearly respected, at least on this level. People moved out of her way as she walked, and the secretary at the front desk paid her no mind. They entered some back hallways with less people in them. Every twist and turn looked the same--grey walls, grey floor, slightly lighter grey doors here and their. The only physical change in the building as they got deeper were a number and letter code that inscribed each door, probably for organizational purposes.
  6. Sharp'i nodded, managing not to blush this time. "I'm really glad your here." "Coming?" Dert asked cheerily, poking her head back in the door. "Yeah," Sharp'i said, taking Kandy's hand with a tight grip and leaving the house.
  7. "Right," He said, cracking a smile even though he was clearly very nervous. "Sharvil will get you whatever you need."
  8. Dert raises an eyebrow at 'Aunty,' not missing the inconsistency. She leads them downstairs and into the front lobby. Outside, a black sleek car with the Peacemaker insignia on it sat waiting. Before following Dert outside, Sharp'i turned to Kandy. "If she throws me in jail again, you'll break me out right?"
  9. ". . . Yes I would like that," Dert said after thinking for a moment, "You were seen with him, after all." She set her teacup aside, and pulled on her jacket, getting ready to leave. Sharp'i shrugged in a 'guess we have no choice' kind of way, and got up as well. "When you kids are done, make sure to come back for another visit," Lizzie said enthusiastically.
  10. "Don't criticize the noble actions of a civil servant doing their duties," Dert said, her smile falling away for the first time. "It may seem like an unimportant detail, however ignoring things like this creates cracks in our security, I apologize for the hassle, but I'm going to have to take you back to the station for some questioning." Sharp'i turned pale, but didn't immediately object--that would make things worse. "Is that breaking your agreement with my father?" "I'm afraid it's a grey area I'm inclined to exploit."
  11. "Oh of course, I never said I thought he was, but . . ." She started pacing back and forth. "I'm told you were spotted at city hall, which seems somewhat odd for you wouldn't you say? It's a little thing of course, and doesn't necessarily break our agreement with your family, however it's my job to investigate little things. I'm sure you can understand." "We were just there to check some records," Sharp'i replied, "Out of simple curiosity."
  12. *Pulls on a very convincing red wig* hi guys
  13. "Just one other guy who I fought briefly, but i didn't know his name (royalbeemages pc) and the guy that Kaza beat up earlier (weaver of lights pc)." He hesitated, then added, "A friend of mine I knew before all this was in the past games, if that counts."
  14. Thanks, luckily I had my breath mints (which will sometimes dispel my anxiety attacks) so I ended up being okay. The teacher also didn't really mention it during our discussion. This specific teacher has never gotten super political in the past, so hopefully I won't get to anxious about it. I am a little bit worried about the future lessons on this book, but I'm not going to think about it right now ; )
  15. When several political/moral subjects that people debate about trigger your anxiety cause reasons, and the book you start reading for English Class addresses that specific thing (which is fine, literature that addresses topics like this, and let's people express their opinion is good--I'm not trying to say it shouldn't be taught about) and now I'm trying really hard not to have anxiety attack about it yaaay.

  18. "That's pretty much all there is to it," He said with a shrug. "The ghosts ended up being nice, just a little confused, so they let me go-- oh, and Kaza got kidnapped for a little which was worrisome, but we both got out alright."
  19. "I got chained to a wall by ghosts yesterday, give me a break," He said, handing Kaza some bread. @TheRavenHasLanded
  20. "We have . . . stuff to do!" After a second of hesitation, Sharpo nods. He takes a piece for him and Kaza, but doesn't give Kaza his yet. He takes a small bite of his piece testing it.
  21. Random, night time thoughts:

Please tell me it wasn't just my area that had the very important rule that if you haven't lost The Game by the time the queen of England dies, you win?

  22. Hearing Jane rise, Sharpo got up himself. "Hey Kaza," he said, turning to shake his shoulders, "It's time to get up." @TheRavenHasLanded
  23. Sharpo let himself relax a little, after seeing her fall asleep. He drifted in and out of consciousness himself, but was never completely out all night. @Edema Rue
  24. "I'm not gonna stop you from sleeping," he mumbled, scooting away from her and closer to Kaza.
