  1. "Ok, then..." TAAron grabbed the vial and downed it quickly, replenishing his metal reserves. He stayed back from the hovering bird things, cautious of Haly's abilities.
  2. TAAron was astonished. "Are you like, immortal or something?" he called as he ran to his bag for another Allomantic vial.
  3. TAAron gasped. How is she so resilient? The coin went straight through her... He still had one more trick up his sleeve. He flared his pewter, and burned duralumin. In a surge of strength, he threw the tiger off of him, jumped onto it, and punched it as hard as he could, an hour's worth of pewter blazing in his stomach all at once. Despite his strength and agility, he found himself somewhat unbalanced after the punch, never having experienced Allomancy to this level before.
  4. Desperate, TAAron fell backwards to the floor. Bracing himself with pewter, he Pushed another coin directly into the tiger's chest to throw it back. I wish I had an actual weapon, he thought regretfully.
  5. Woah, I'm late to this one, huh? Right now I only really know Kaladin, Szeth, and Shallan. I think I prefer Kaladin just because his character is more interesting to me, although they are all cool.
  6. Throwing a handful of coins into the air, TAAron Pushed them out at Haly, striking several birds. Although he was unexperienced with Steelpushing, pewter steadied his hand and his body as he slid back from the force of the push.
  7. TAAron sighed, only just realizing what he had gotten himself into. Still, he felt his competitive nature taking over. He opened a special, double-sealed pocket in his bag. Inside were two beads of metal. Lerasium. My only two beads. He had been hoping to keep them to study. They were, after all, ludicrously expensive and difficult to find. But if he just took one... He took a glass tube out of his pack, shaking it up to loosen the metal flakes within. 15 metals, all except Aluminum and, of course, Atium, which he hadn't been able to get a hold of. He had spent upwards of a year collecting and refining the metals and alloys. He took it, and the bead of Lerasium, and downed it all in one gulp.
  8. "AAAAH!" TAAron nearly fell over in shock. "Okay, I guess what she said." He quickly grabbed his bag.
  9. I don't know, do I? TAAron thought. Haly seemed very excited to him. "What would be permitted in the fight?"
  10. "Uh, nice to meet you? And, what do you mean fight? Like, how? Why?"
  11. "Ah. I had a pet Boomslug once. Aside from the obvious hazards, it gave me hives."
  12. "Well then... I wonder what I ate that set off the reaction. I've only really had my lunch and the Brandonfandonitis medication recently. What is in that, anyways?"
  13. "Uh, yeah, I guess. Other than... I think I might be hallucinating. Your hand looked like a platypus just a second ago!"
  14. TAAron's eyes snapped back into focus. Woah, he thought, what was that stuff? His normal medication for allergic reactions was an injection, his epipen. It was buried in his bag, although he hadn't been able to point it out to the people who helped him. The medicine that the man Lark had given him was completely different, and even worked better.
  15. Meanwhile in room D55... Suddenly, TAAron's body began convulsing. He recognized the sensation for years long past, years of accidentally eating the wrong foods and being rushed to the hospital. He was having an allergic reaction to... what? The medication? It didn't really matter. He was helpless on the floor, alone in his room. No one would hear him fall.
  16. TAAron sat silently for a few moments, trying to understand what had just happened. Eventually, he returned to his studies.
  17. TAAron looked taken aback. "Well... okay, I guess. For me, anyways. There seems to be some weird stuff going on, though. Some people were fighting and this one guy just fell asleep randomly. It's very confusing." He shifted his metals out of sight as subtly as he could. "So. Who are you? Why are you here?"
  18. Meanwhile in room D55... TAAron studies Allomancy in an effort to disover the secret to Excisors. He opens his concealed bag of Allomantic metals to begin experimentation.
  19. TAAron looked very uncomfortable. He tore his eyes away from the unresponsive Lark. "Um... okay. Hello Mr. Thaikadar, I can see that you are somewhat occupied, but I would appreciate being given a lodging here... I think I'm developing a mild case of Brandonfandonitis. I got very upset while reading The Well of Ascension and I get very excited when I think I spot Hoid. So, yeah." He paused for a moment, looking thoughtful. "Also, do you have a copy of The Way of Kings? I think I left mine at home."
  20. *Approaches cautiously* "Hi, I'm TAAron. I think I might be mildly... is this a bad time? I think it's probably a bad time." *Begins backing away*
  21. I've been considering the implications of Feruchemical duralumin (Connection) recently, and I've had a couple of ideas. For one, could you fill a duraluminmind while in combat to think more logically? For example, if you had do go through with some risky plan but were concerned for the effects on people you know (or just other people in general), would filling it make you less likely to act upon those worries? If so, I imagine that another consequence of storing Connection could be losing sight of your allegiances. What if you stored it in a fight and lost all you biases against your opponent? Maybe I'm ignorant about the exact nature of connection, but could you form more Connection while your duraluminmind is full? I would assume that Connection can be formed naturally whenever you associate with new things, places, or people, so does Duralumin inhibit your ability to Connect or just store away the Connection you already have? Maybe people have already talked about this stuff a lot before, but I'd still love to hear other people's opinions about it.
  22. Ugh, this is tough. I kind of want to know what Compounding Copper would do. Extra memory? That doesn't make much sense, if the memory is already perfectly sharp. Maybe it could sharpen memories that deteriorate (which could explain Rashek's supposed perfect memory)? Would there be some extra affect to it? Copper is the only Feruchemical power that stores distinct pieces of information, rather than levels of some attribute. Not counting compounding, I think A- Bendalloy and F- Zinc would be an incredibly powerful tool, as you'd pretty much have an infinite capacity for thought if you were to slow down time and think faster. The only downside would be getting too hungry from tapping Zinc. A- Pewter and F- Gold is a pretty obvious choice for combat, as is Wayne's combination, A- Pewter F- Steel, and A- Steel F- Pewter. Actually, pretty much and combination involving Allomantic Pewte, Bendalloy, or Steel (or even iron or bendalloy, really; Allomancy has a lot of combat-centric abilities) and Feruchemical Pewter, Zinc, Gold, or Steel would be great. I guess what I'm trying to say is when it comes to Allomancy and Feruchemy, anything (except Allomantic Aluminum/Duralumin) oculd be useful somehow and would just be really cool. Its hard to pick favorites for me. Heck, make me an Archivist and I'm happy. Idk.
  23. I only know five at the moment: the 3 Metallic Arts, Awakening, and a bit of Surgebinding. I think Feruchemy is my favorite (as you might guess from my username), although Allomancy is a close second. I just believe Allomancy would very quickly make people corrupt, like the nobility in Era 1. Feruchemy is a lot fairer and also has more diversity when it comes to attributes, plus bigger implications like what we see in Bands of Mourning.
