  1. TAAron pointed towards where he remembered the door to be, the tin having helped him keep oriented. "Let's go!"
  2. Arriving by her side, TAAron began burning his iron, steel, and pewter in preparation for a fight.
  3. "I'm here!" TAAron called out. "What do you need?" He moved toward her by sound, surprisingly nimble despite the dark.
  4. "Wait... can you see?" TAAron jogged after the footsteps.
  5. Figuring that it couldn't hurt given the darkness, TAAron burned tin, then flared it. He could still barely see in the darkness, and yet his sense were so much more alive. He could feel the bumps and grooves in the floor beneath him, and ever hear the thumping of his own heart. He stepped into the room with Haly.
  6. "Cool... wow, that room is really dark." TAAron put away is journal, suddenly very aware of the limited amount of metal reserves in his stomach. If he ran out of pewter now, all of his wound from the earlier skirmish would come rushing back to him. He could feel the pain still, veiled in the back of his mind, even if it didn't affect him at all.
  7. *Furiously scribbles notes* "So, are you pretty much invulnerable when you are shifted? Also, are there limitations to your shifting? Also also, how do you even do it? Sorry about all the questions, but if there's a new magic system to discover, I've got to know everything."
  8. "I wouldn't be surprised if it could! This place is strange."
  9. TAAron began walking after Haly. "So, are we going to need to fight this monster? What can it do?"
  10. "Tweak it? How do you mean?" TAAron never stopped scribbling down notes.
  11. "Woah..." TAAron began scribbling down more notes. "So what did you say there was here? A monster? What does it look like? What does it do? And, uh, why are we here if there is a monster?"
  12. "Woah! What the—" TAAron tried moving around, but he couldn't budge.
  13. "Okay." He took it, feeling quite excited. He was a scholar, through and through.
  14. "The what in the what before the what? I mean, I'll come, but you're gonna have to explain some of this to me on our way."
  15. "Just... finds... them..." TAAron had taken out his notebook and was scribbling writing down on a new page. "Some sort of Innate Investiture, maybe?"
  16. TAAron ate his own marshmallow. "That's not really what I meant. I mean, how do you have so much stuff on you at a time? You were able to pull two bowls full of marshmallows out of nowhere!"
  17. "Where do you get all of that stuff?" TAAron asked, holding a marshmallow over the lighter with his bare fingers.
  18. "I love marshmallows! Just tell me first, do they have any cytonic slug slime in them?"
  19. "Thanks!" TAAron pulled back the shard from Haly's neck, and shook her hand with a smile. "You did quite well yourself! You might have to tell me about that shape-shifting stuff you do sometime."
  20. TAAron jumped, the yell making his ears ring. the flamig marshmallows stuck to his clothes, and he started smelling burned cloth. Quickly smothering the flames with one hand—this was going to hurt later—he used his other hand to *insert delayed action here*.
  21. TAAron was taken aback. Where had she gone? He flared his tin to listen for breathing, immediately regretting it as the light seared his eyes.
  22. TAAron grabbed an empty Allomantic vial from the floor, smashing it on the ground. He picked of the largest piece he could find. It cut his hand, but he ignored it, bringing the shard up to Haly's neck. "Cool! How did I do?"
  23. "What the hell?" The bowl of popcorn hit him and bounced off. TAAron barely flinched. This pewter stuff really is great. He ran up to Haly, ready to fight.
  24. The birds chimed in almost a vocal manner, although if they were speaking TAAron couldn't make it out. He burned tin now, the lava around the platform hurting his newly sensitive eyes. Still, he was able to use the enhanced senses to track the birds as they dove down on him. Tossing out more coins, he shot them with new accuracy. Realizing that he was running out of coins, he Pulled on the the ones nearby on the platform, gathering them up as they rushed toward him.
