Figuring that it couldn't hurt given the darkness, TAAron burned tin, then flared it. He could still barely see in the darkness, and yet his sense were so much more alive. He could feel the bumps and grooves in the floor beneath him, and ever hear the thumping of his own heart. He stepped into the room with Haly.

"Cool... wow, that room is really dark." TAAron put away is journal, suddenly very aware of the limited amount of metal reserves in his stomach. If he ran out of pewter now, all of his wound from the earlier skirmish would come rushing back to him. He could feel the pain still, veiled in the back of his mind, even if it didn't affect him at all.

The birds chimed in almost a vocal manner, although if they were speaking TAAron couldn't make it out. He burned tin now, the lava around the platform hurting his newly sensitive eyes. Still, he was able to use the enhanced senses to track the birds as they dove down on him. Tossing out more coins, he shot them with new accuracy. Realizing that he was running out of coins, he Pulled on the the ones nearby on the platform, gathering them up as they rushed toward him.
