  1. At this point, the boy was looking thoroughly overwhelmed, and he backed nervously into the wall.
  2. The boy, who was just about to leave, stumbled back at the sight of the dragon. He looked terrified.
  3. My character isn't OP. He has incredible knowledge, but he can't communicate and is a traumatized child.
  4. The boy quickly washed off, changed his clothes, and had something to eat. Taking his key, he hastily made for the exit.
  5. The boy sat down in front of the door, as though waiting. He ran his hands through his hair nervously, rocking back and forth with the restlessness one might expect from a child his age.
  6. The boy looked at him quizzically, then made for the rooms again, stopping in front of the nearest empty one.
  7. The boy nervously turned away from Fadran and began walking into the inn, towards the rooms.
  8. The boy continued staring at Fadran. His eyes were a bright blue... then green. Then yellow. They seemed to change every time he looked at the boy from a slightly different angle.
  9. The child—a boy—said nothing, nor did he otherwise respond. He simply walked up to Fadran, looking timid.
  10. Immediately after the ribbon was cut, a form appeared in at the entrance. A small child, in dirty, ragged clothes and messy brown hair stood staring at Fadran from the intersection of Somewhat and Maybe street.
  11. Well I kind of gave an idea of what he could do in my abilities section. I'll say he can't see the future or anything because that would be too complicated, but he would, say, know how to use any magical object or read an ancient script. I'm also thinking he'll probably gain a very high understanding of a person he bonds to.
  12. Should my character just be mute, or be entirely unable to communicate? I can't decide.
  13. He sat waiting, letting his confident facade drop a bit. Alright. Let's do this. — Say what you want, but you know it could happen. He paused briefly. Ah, and just like I said. He's in trouble. Would you like to see?
  14. He followed her. His nerves were ablaze, but he tried to appear as at ease as he could. — Please. What makes you think he'll stay with you? He's opened up to you, and you barely have at all. And those promises are empty. He doesn't have any control over whether he lives or dies on that mission. Anything could happen!
  15. "Well then, I-ya," he said, deliberately mispronouncing her name. "Lead the way." — Ah, you know very well he could. He could die on that mission, too. Maybe he already has.
  16. "Yes. I am Evander of Norkade." He handed over the letter. "I am here... well, for pleasure, I suppose." Hopefully that's not too overt. — Wow. That really went well for you. Now you'll be able to be with TAAron! Except... maybe not.
  17. TAAron arrived at the {palace? castle? I dunno}. He clutched the letter in his hand, ready to present it. Look bored. Look bored.
  18. TAAron followed her instructions, a little nervous but performing decently enough. — Uh oh. This is going to get complicated.
  19. Awkwardly but steadily thanks to pewter, TAAron climbed onto the horse. --- No, I don't think I will.
  20. "What? I'm right here." His body remained unmoving, with no signs of life. "Uh, do I just... climb on?" --- A light pain came to Haly's head. Well that's awkward. Go on, answer him. I want to see how this goes.
  21. "Wynn?" Lerac's voice seemed to sound nearby, although it was quiet and muffled. "What happened?" TAAron sighed. "Oh well. Hopefully I can use the metalminds to learn faster."
