    TAAron took her hand, as much for his own comfort as hers. He tried to return to the normal state of his powers, but this more violent nature was clinging to him, trying to bend him.

    TAAron watched him with obvious suspicion. He still steamed with violet light, Malum's nature making him want to lash out and hurt the soldier.

    He got TAAron too, who was still being pulled by Haly. "What-"

    TAAron shuddered at the feeling. He seemed to feel some resistance as she pulled him through, though for all he knew that was typical.

    TAAron ran with her. "They can follow us in here?"

    He lost his balance and tumbled to the ground after getting pulled through. "Ow." The violet light was still rising from his body.

    TAAron hesitated for a moment before trying to do the same, letting himself fall.

    "Try to stay low down!" TAAron created a precise directional flash of violet energy, shearing through the top of the cage with ease.

    "I'm going to try and get you out." Wisps of light rose around him, then shifted to a violet, calling on Malum's old nature to enable destruction. He didn't like the way it made that strange pressure shift, as though pushing him further towards the tendencies of the evil god.

    "Are you stuck in that form?"

    TAAron was surprised to see the girl she was in, since he only saw the location of her soul in his other state. "Haly! Are you okay?"

    His mind raced trying to think of what he should do. Could he transport her out? Depending on what the cage was, that might have unforseen consequences. He decided he would have to be there in the flesh, and made connections in space to bring himself physically to where he watched in this world, just a short distance from Haly's cage. He appeared in a flash of golden light.

    He worried that she was just saying that to protect him, and he had already started regardless. He felt that pressure, his magic trying to make him into something which he was not. He entered that strange crystalline world of souls and connections, and used his connection with Haly to find her.
