    TAAron met Haly's eyes as he let go.

    "I guess I could do that... Any hazards I should know about? Other than, you know, the Wyverns?"

    "So you want me to steal it from Wyverns?"

    "I don't know what that is. Or how I'd get it."

    "I could try. What sort of thing are you looking for?"

    It hit him in the side, as Haly was still in his arms. He didn't react, he only looked down as it clattered to the floor. "I said as much."

    He held her, giving her support. "I don't think so. She doesn't want to tell me more, something about meddling, but she might if I'm able to help with the problem."

    His smile faltered as she began coughing. "Haly... Essa said that there's more to what's going with you than you think."

    "You're very welcome." He beamed at her, managing to forget everything for a time.

    He set one hand on the back of her head and the other on her back, pulling her in and gently pressing his lips to hers.

    "Oh?" He smiled and pulled back just a bit, so they could be face to face.

    "Apparently they're having trouble getting power for their records. She wanted me to help with that, but I'm not sure I can."

    "Hi. Are you alright?"

    He sighed. "Fine. Come and find me later, then." He vanished in a golden flash, and reappeared by Haly.

    He looked pained. "What can I do to get you to tell me?"

    "Why not?"

    "You know things about what's happening to Haly."

    He shortened the space between them. "Stop. Please."

    He manipulated lines of spatial connection with barely a thought, making his own gateway and going after her.

    TAAron gritted his teeth. "No. You can't just tell me that she's 'practically possessed' and leave it at that!"

    "Why? What's going to happen?"

    "I want you to tell me what's going on with her. Is it worse than she thinks?"

    "What's that supposed to mean?"
