    He didn't seem to hear her, even as he held her gaze.

    TAAron managed to meet her eyes through the haze. "It's... okay." His voice was louder than normal, like he was talking over something, and he seemed to have trouble getting the words out.

    TAAron began to shake. He felt his mind changing, expanding to process this, but it wasn't fast enough. The Queen, whatever she was, must have had a very long time to adjust as she increased her hive.

    She didn't make much progress, as the amount of connections he had was truly unfathomable.

    It was impossible for her to tell what exactly was happening, but he seemed to be in pain.

    He fell to his knees, still holding her hand. His glow got brighter as he drew on more power in an effort to do anything other than sit there. He tried to compartmentalize his mind like he had when the Queen showed him this, but he couldn't seem to manage it, maybe because this time the connections were actually his.

    He didn't answer, unable to concentrate on her as the voices overwhelmed him. He tried to change the bonds so he would hear less, but there were far too many connections and he couldn't maintain his focus.

    He shuddered, his grip almost painful, the light around him getting brighter.

    TAAron went rigid as the voices assaulted him, and he tried to adjust. His hand gripped Haly's tightly. @Halcyon The Only

    He tried to communicate to them. Hello. Your former Queen is dead. I am not here to take her place. I will not control you. However, if you accept, I will connect you to myself and my power. In all likelihood, this will mean very little for you personally, but it will mean that the power lives on past me and once again has a people to share it.

    "I'll be okay." He tried to convey certainty.

    "Yes. I should be able to connect to them. It might be a lot, though. The Queen showed me that she experiences every intricacy of each one's life at all times. Hopefully I can change that so it's a bit less overwhelming."

    He transported them both to the throne room. TAAron examined the connections in the room and was greeted by the explosion of light where trillions of lines covered. "It's still here."

    "Want to come with?"

    "I guess so. I can try to make it a voluntary thing, like when I connected to Twain's mind before. Let them be aware of what it is. That's assuming this works at all."

    "What is it? You seem bothered by it."

    "Well, I certainly wouldn't use the connection the same way the Queen did. I'd just connect them as though they were from my homeworld, and distribute my magic. With so many people, the effect should be negligible."

    "Fair in what way?"

    "When the Queen died... when I killed her, her connections didn't vanish. She left an empty space in them, but they might still be there. Potentially... available to take."

    "Well, I think I have a way to connect with... trillions."

    "So, the reason I got all of this power is that everyone else from my home world his gone. It all gathered to me when there was no one else connected to it. But what if I somehow connected it to a lot of people, all at once? Maybe I could... distribute my power."

    "It's kind of a long shot... But yeah. I think it could work."

    "I just had an idea. Something that could help me, maybe. Put me back to normal."
