Terrance, as ever, watched quietly. @Wierdo

Terrance started humming softly, nearly inaudibly. There was no clear melody that could be made out.

"I could keep you awake with... ambient dread."

"I'm... sorry for what I did to you."

He did not answer, but he sat down instead of entering the forest.

"It does when it has a tendency to inspire people to get rid of you by any means necessary."

He shook his head.

"I never said I was happy. That's not a very reasonable goal for someone who can't make eye contact without terrifying people."

"Well, I am yet intact."

"How optimistic."

"Do you know that? Because I answered a question, and killed some monsters that were at much a danger to me as to you?"

He frowned. "You were willing to hurt me before."

Terrance hesitated, looking back but keeping his eyes away from hers. "Why do you care?"

He just nodded, then continued to exit into the forest. @Lunamor @Weaver of Lights

"The ambrosia worked." Something about that seemed to discomfort him.

"I didn't know it was going to happen."

After a moment, Terrance stopped trembling and his muscles relaxed. He quickly moved away from Lucid. "...Thanks."

Terrance's eyes met his, looking afraid and desperate. Unfortunately, this hit Edgar with a wave of terror and dread, more intense than what Terrance had caused before.

This time, he couldn't respond.

He whimpered softly, continuing to tremble on the ground.

Terrance felt his muscles lock up and his body tremble. He couldn't move, couldn't speak. This was something new, and it was terrifying.

Terrance tried to stand, seeing no reason to stay in the camp. Unfortunately, he took two steps before his legs gave out, sending him tumbling to the ground. @Wierdo @Weaver of Lights
