Pic panics, and subconsciously hums, using the buzz from wings as his baseline. Pic’s hums grow rapid, having descending and ascending melodies and arpeggios, each more hurried than the last. Energy is forcibly drawn from Pic and flows into Lundyn

Pic went up to his room and gathered his things, food, water, and clothes. He also pulled out a relatively nice kazoo and placed that in his pocket. He then found Nameless and Rue speaking with Argenti. “Who’s ready for an Oath Rod?” @Edema Rue @Argenti

Stay with Ash and do what she tells you,” Pic motions to the healer next to Vyla, “and you’ll do great!” Pic then turns to Jar Man. “Thanks for helping,” he says sincerely. @TheRavenHasLanded Pic turns to Ash and says, “I’ve gotta head out, I’m gonna learn to do more with my magic. The kids name is Lundyn, and she seems to like Tal.” @InfiniteInsanity

@Violet Pic sees that Ash is guiding Vyla into consuming some food and checks in on her. “Vyla are you doing alright?”

Pic responds, “Alright, I need to head out. Let’s get you to a person who can help you with your memory. When I get back, we can play more music, ok?”

Pic smiles and says, “That’s more than good enough. Let me make sure some people are alive and relatively sane, and then I’m ready to go.” @Nameless* Pic turns back to Lundyn. “Are you ok? I’m sorry for the startling of the gate.” @shortcake

“Alright, I can help on two conditions: Once, the oath is sound. Its purpose is not gonna hurt anyone or make bad things happen. Two: You and I figure out what these strange harmonics are between our magics.” Pic sticks out his hand.

“Is the oath rod doing anything bad in the White Tower? Can it do more good out here? I guess what I’m trying to ask, is what good does getting the oath rod do?” Pic quickly attempted to comfort Lundyn, and made her line fly around her like a tiny dragon.

Pic a little startled, flinches instinctively but quickly places his musical staff in front of him. “Why does this place need to steal the rod?”

Pic smiles, and conspiratorily whispers, "I know, right? Watch this!" Pic demonstrates how to loop a line into a ring and cause the sound to loop. The melody Pic chose made the ring dance in the air in time with the beat.

Pic smiles and sits down next to Lundyn. "You have a beautiful voice. Lundyn! My name is Pic. It's really nice to meet you." Pic draws a sixth line in the air, and shows Lundyn how to mess with it. Every time she touches the line, a feeling of happiness courses through her. @shortcake

Medical Wing Unbeknownst to Pic, his humming warped and transitioned smoothly to the song that Lundyn was singing in her head. Tal noticed this and knew that Pic did not know about Lundyn's mental singing. The lights condensed and began to blink in time with Lundyn's melody. Occasionally, a second or third light would blink as Pic hummed a countermelody or descant to the song. these lights were dim until Lundyn sang out loud. The lights intensified, and Pic, now knowing Lundyn was singing, sprang into action as his countermelodies grew in volume and complexity. A low synth began to emanate from Lundyn, filling her with confidence and the feeling of safety. By the last few measures of the song, lights were no longer simply cascading, they were spinning, flying, orbiting, and creating a symphony of their own, following Lundyn's lead. Upon the completion of the song, the lights burst apart like fireworks, and tiny motes of light, resembling small glittery fragments, continued to hover around Lundyn as Pic kept humming. He smiled at Lundyn and moved closer to Tal. "I'm pretty sure this is helping, but let me know if it isn't," he hums to Tal. For now, Pic stays alert on Lundyn, while also staying aware of other happenings in the Medical Wing

As Lundyn nodded, beautiful fairy lights cascaded down around her, filling her with a warm happy feeling. Pic smiled reassuringly at this.
