    She smiled at him and threw the box away. “You feeling okay? Glowing or anything?”

    “Hi. You want some?” She held out the piece of cardboard she’d been eating, frowned at it, and examined the empty box. “I’m sure there are more around here.”

    Haly arrived at the kitchen, then pulled herself up onto the shelves and opened all the cabinets until she found one with several bags of marshmallows. Biting into one, though, didn’t taste the same as it used to.The marshmallows I found were probably just better. She found some graham crackers instead and settled cross-legged on the counter to eat them. She made it through all of them very quickly.

    “Kitchens! Yes. Good idea. I’ll be right back.” She headed to the kitchens.

    A quest, Haly thought. A great heroic quest. She felt lightheaded, but she wasn’t sure why. “Does anyone have marshmallows? I’m feeling nostalgic.” Or maybe just hungry.

    Beosta grew bored of this and stole back the pad to draw spirals. I know… and forgets six T_T

    Gail was silent. But I KNOW how powerful I am. I’ve ALWAYS known.

    Gail stared at him. “B… I don’t understand. I don’t… think I should be in there.”

    I demand the puppy back.

    I do a surgery to surgically remove the puppy and stitch it back together.

    Beosta sat next to him. She hadn’t realized it was a sore topic. “Prophecy?” Gail asked.

    She chased after him, scratched out the sentence, and handed the pad back to him. But she didn’t leave. Thanks for the interaction by the way; it’s a good opportunity to get her attached to him

    Beosta smiled back. So you can’t, right? Was it for your whole life, or what?

    That made her sad. It had felt so… intimate, being connected like that. She should have enjoyed it better.

    She glared in Livetha’s direction. Apparently it’s rude to laugh at ‘snufflegrunt’.

    She took the pad and wrote, remind me to yell at that stoat when I get my voice back.

    “I’m okay.” It did hurt, though, even getting over the shock. And it felt so… empty.

    Beosta reluctantly headed that way, since Livetha didn’t seem to be having any changes of heart. “A project for my school. It’s the final.”
