  1. Symbol reached her presence across the Thread, searching for him. "Thanks," Gail said. She moved over to an armchair and sat down in it. Qodi hopped off to who knew where. "Friends," she scoffed. "I don't need friends. I have plenty of aquaintences." "SHOE!" She shrieked. "STOP IT! I WANT MY CHERRY COLA!" - He did so. - "Oh, you're fine. But you're not plotting." Symbol snorted.
  2. "I'll stick with potatoes. I don't like yogurt." - Smbol waved goodbye. "Exactly," Symbol sighed. Beosta whined at him. Then she broke away and sprinted for the drinks. - No... not really. He blushed. - She shrugged casually. "I don't know. Someone interesting, I suppose."
  3. "None of the right ones." "Exactly," Gail sighed. "I'm leaning towards the potatoes with cheese and bacon." - "Right over there." Lady Bug smiled. "No, I wasn't. Would you care to dance? For old time's sake?" - "No, aw, come on," she whined. - Bat nodded. "So, uh... could you teach me?" - "Ah, but they're not the right ones."
  4. Gail pulled away. "I'm trying to decide what to eat." - "A Narrator, yes."
  5. Beosta grinned at him and gave him a little peck. "Let's go find some cola." - She did indeed. And she enjoyed it, didn't she? - Bat blushed. Thank you. Uh... do you know how to dance? - "Thank you. I do wish more people showed up, though." "Not much. Drink, eat, dance. Talk. Make friends. Make plans; I'm sure somebody here is plotting."
  6. Gail wasn't sure how to react... she didn't get hugged a lot. "Thank you," she whispered. - Symbol shrugged. "Perhaps I'm just crazy." "Your name is fine," Symbol dismissed. "We're glad you made it too!" Noted
  7. He arrived in the courtyard I’m sure you’ve seen described a thousand times now. Beosta was already headed inside, having conversed politely with Symbol until she could get away. - But she didn’t. - “It’s pretty in here,” Bat remarked, watching the crystal light refracting. - “Thank you. Truth be told, I probably worked a little too hard on it.” - Symbol disagreed. Gail bit her lip. Her eyes were tearing up. - “Sure.” I forgot THERES SO MAMY PPL AND IFS WONDERFUL :DD
  8. Gail looked away, silent. - “I don’t think so… I could make one, if you like.”
  9. "I do!" She folded her invitation. - Except someone could. Haly. Haly stopped her. Bat beamed and offered her his hand. "Do they? Sometimes it feels like they don't." - "Folen's new! I'm sure he could use friends!" (see below; he's Magi's new character ) "I'm doing quite well, thank you," she replied politely, offering him a glass of pineapple juice. "My name is Symbol, and I'm the host of the party, as well as the best Narrator on the Thread!" She paused, as if this audacious challenge could somehow summon a certain Narrator. "Welcome indeed!"
  10. Folen appeared in a bright, pretty courtyard overlooked by a grand castle. Lush gardens surrounded the palace, with a beautiful landscape of rolling hills beyond. A dark-haired woman in a dark purple dress grinned at Folen. "Welcome to The Longest Thread! You'll have a beautifully almost-round anniversary page. Happy 4000 pages, and here's to many more!" A goblet of pineapple juice appeared before Folen, hoping to be drunk. "Welcome to you as well!" "It doesn't matter. He's gone." - "A party is an excellent place to find new friends," Symbol approved.
  11. I guess so. Feels like last month. She shrugged. Why not? Maybe they'll have cherry cola. - There were all the drinks again. Symbol made sure of it. Symbol waved back. "D'you wanna dance, I guess?" Bat asked. He felt slightly frustrated with Xanther. "I... haven't been doing much. I had a friend, but he vanished. So I'm alone again, yay." She smiled a little. - Symbol bit her lip. "I...'m afraid that he's probably dead." Symbol never had much tact.
  12. "Look! There's another party." Thanks Bat pulled his out and did the same, as did Xanther. "Welcome to my castle!" Symbol greeted, spreading her arms. They stood in a very nice courtyard surrounded by a lush garden and overlooked by a grand castle. "And happy 4000 pages!" "Yes, yes, thank you," Xanther said, waving his hand. "What is the point of this party, here?" "Um..." Symbol slowly dropped her hands back to her sides. "To celebrate? And talk? Y'know, take a break from the crazy?" He sighed. "I should have never come." "We could go back," Bat offered. "Too late," he declared. "I'm already here." He purposefully stalked off to find something alcoholic. No worries Gail reached out her hand to shake. - "Brother? Who's your brother?"
  13. "I'm Gail. This is my rabbit, Qodi." Qodi took offense. She would like to inform any Authors that she is NOT a pet, and that Gail is, if anything, her human. - "A unit of time," Symbol dismissed. "I can try! Though I must admit I know very little of most of the new ones, and most of the old ones haven't yet arrived." Lady Bug appeared with a small burst of confetti, looking much like she always had. "Bacon, it's good to see you. It's been such a long time."
  14. ShoeBea? He sighed. "Okay. But after that, you give us the full tour." Xanther clicked his tongue. "No, no, no, can't do that! All the other Authors are watching, and they might get jealous! I'll show you my favorite parts, though!" "Fine. Whatever. Let's go." Gail was by the food table with her rabbit, Qodi. She'd just finished being greeted by Symbol, and she smiled at Asher. - "Hi," Symbol greeted enthusiastically. "Nice to meet you! Welcome to my castle, and happy 4000 pages!"
  15. Symbol positively beamed. "Thank you! I'm quite proud of it, though you can thank Rebus for the crystals around the chandelier." I'm not ruining it for you! "Posh." Xanther waved his hand dismissively. "On to the party, then?" - Beosta examined the invitation, then nudged Shoe awake. "There's another party."
  16. Bat should be along soon I think She led her into the great hall, where the dance floor sparkled wirh refracted crystals. Tables along the edges were absolutely stacked with food and drinks, and periodically there were cozy little areas with armchairs and other furnishings where guests could talk while they ate. “Wait,” Bat said. “Wait. This is… your city?” “Of course.” ”But you’re—“ ”An Author, yes. Yes I am.” Bat stopped, confused. “I… was gonna say Narrator.” ”Oh, I transcended that long ago.” Hehe. We have all the food. She led her inside to the ballroom described just above. “Eat all you want.”
  17. Hey there I gotta go but I look forward to more conversation later —what Haly thinks ”I’m so glad to hear that! Are you hungry?” Xanther shrugged. “I’ll give you what you want if you come to the party with me.” ”I can find it myself,” Bat growled. “In this part of town? The fake part?” Bat froze. “You really think so little of me? I’ve protected my people far, FAR better than that, Whitlock,” Xanther laughed. - :P
