    He dipped a finger in the bucket, then moved to the door and added some more snow. That should be good. He rubbed her feet for a minute, hoping to bring back some feeling, and gently moved them into the water. *cough* of course Bat knows that ....his author is just dumb

    "I'll sit her up in a chair. Find something to soak her feet in and put some more water on."

    Vey led them both down the hall to a warm wood door and opened it to reveal the barn interior.

    "She's alive. She'll be fine. Is that water hot yet?" Ugh, her hands were so cold. She wouldn't lose feeling permanently, but she might need to be careful. He set down her right hand and rubbed warmth back in the other one.

    I see, the voice said disdainfully. That's disappointing. I shall find something else. A slight acknowledgement followed in the second channel. "Shoes," he murmured, "and socks. Please." He rubbed the fingers on one hand, examining her face carefully. "You'll be okay," he promised. He considered giving her an energy leaf, but decided it might be better--- to wait a minute.

    "Do you have water around here? Find some and heat it up. Please." He focused on her head, finished cleaning it with his alcohol pads. He wrapped her head in bandages. "And take off her shoes and socks."

    He arrived in the hallway. He might recognize it as the Below place. "I'm sure that was supposed to happen."

    He took a deep breath and dumped his satchel on the ground, spreading out the various bottles and other things inside it. He started by dumping three dormant heat worms down her throat. They'd wake up in just a couple minutes and help generate heat to warm her up. "Of course I can. She'll be fine." With the heat worms taken care of, he moved onto gently cleaning her head wound. "Brush the snow off her, please."

    He jumped to his feet. "What's wrong?" He glanced at Gaioh, who was still an eel. Gaioh would be fine, right? Until he could get back. Rose couldn't kill him very easily while he was an eel. "I'll come. Sure." Yes. I like you. I expect your loyalty.
