Mmmmm.......... nah.
The warmth grabbed her again and with a whoosh, she was in the middle of a terrarium the size of a house. The sides were made of glass, and she stood on dirt. There were grass and sticks and the kinds of plants that should have been tiny, but weren't.
Tam herself, compared to the surroundings and furnishings, was perhaps the size of a lizard.
Bat blinked, looking even more confused, and came to sit next to her. "What?"
Aw, don't be like that. I'll make a very nice terrarium for you! And find you some nice friends!! Won't that be great???
Bat decided she was talking to some sentient table or something.
I'm a collector! And that one is cute! And I want him! Ooo, wait, are you a Narrator?? I'll take BOTH OF YOU :DD!
--
She yelped and retreated into the leaves.
Bat looked at her strangely, unable to hear the noise. "What?"
Think I might kidnap him! He's cute, said a buzzing voice.
"I'm not telling you. I don't trust you." She poked her snout out of the leaves. "But it's nice to meet you anyway."
The dragon schloofed into the pine tree leaves and vanished from sight.
I’m such a good hider! She thought excitedly.
She smiled and followed his directions.
“Name it. History, biology, etiquette, persuasiveness, singing, dancing, art… Blech.”
Yeah. Yeah, she was gonna do this. She took a deep breath, then shattered the bottle at the base of the archway. Green mist reached up, coating the doorway with a film that waved and made it look like there was something… beyond.
Make an offering to proceed.
