Wren awoke with a startle when a sword had been strategically placed close to their neck. If they tried to move, they would end up getting cut, whether it be forward, to the side, or even backward. Wren knew they couldn't do anything more. They knew it was going to come to this eventually. It always did, during the Hunger Games. Trust would be broken, allies would be lost,, bridges would be burned. It was an infinite cycle.
Wren closed their eyes, a single tear streaming down their cheek. "It's okay, Amyra Ay. You did what you had to. That's all that matters. Let's hope it ends in your favor. Wren opened their eyes again as they smiled slightly. "I'll be rooting for you."
