  1. Do we have a source for people being unable to walk from Azir to Urithiru? There’s nothing in the contract that prohibits people from traveling through (or trading with) the “other god’s” territory. For that matter, isn’t it all Retribution’s territory now anyway? Aside from Urithiru (both due to Navani/The Sibling as well as its geographic isolation), why do we think people won’t be able to go wherever they want?
  2. I thought it was “1+1=3 for sufficiently large values of 1”
  3. To be fair, it’s one thing to be attacked for public “hot takes” and quite another to be attacked for things you thought nobody knew about from years ago.
  4. I thought it was that Hoid could have kids, but whether or not he did was the RAFO. Maybe I’m misremembering too
  5. And hopefully explodes Moash with one of Wax’s boom sticks and a sparkling red rod.
  6. Yeah, it really seemed to me like Adolin’s being setup to take Honor. Well, assuming he doesn’t die of old age while Honor figures out what he wants… I don’t think there’s any precedent for how quickly shards can grow and change since IIRC he’s the first to attempt it.
  7. This is a horrible idea. Clearly Kal needs to get with Chana so that when the heralds return Shallan’s head can explode. Come to think of it, Adolin’s might too.
  8. The sudden (aside from once or twice in RoW) switch to modern swearing for some characters kinda takes me out of it.
  9. Ah, well, I stand corrected then
  10. What kind of metal are the Honorblades made from? As long as it’s not aluminum (which would be a horrible choice for a sword), Marsh should be able to yank it out of Moash’s unsuspecting hands.
  11. Yeah. Although for me, it’s not so much the modern swearing, it’s that it didn’t really start until RoW, and it feels out of place considering that the Rosharans have spent the past four books using their own swears.
  12. Dunno, but I dearly hope we get an epic throw down between them. Admittedly, this is partially because I hate Moash with a passion that burns hotter than a thousand suns, and we know that at least Marsh’s reputation is around for Tress so presumably he’d win that fight.
  13. I thought that was the weaker argument. AFAIK, there’s nothing preventing them from trading with lands under Odium’s control. The terms might not be great, but the length of the contract between Odium and Dalinar was, what, 1000 years? I don’t see how trade restrictions matter for the first 900 years.
  14. He certainly is smart… At the moment he seems rather distracted with the ten monkey wrenches Dalinar threw into his plans, so I guess we’ll see if he thinks to do it (personally I think he will, but I won’t be shocked if he doesn’t).
  15. Wasn’t there speculation that Odium had help killing some of the other shards? Maybe 2 of them combined into “Unity” before they died? Although, as best I can recall, Dominion and Devotion were the only ones together, and I’m not sure “Unity” is the word I’d use to describe a merger between those two. Anyway, could that be the “we”?
