I am very hazy on remembering the details.

I wouldn't say this. Being autonomous means that you are free of external control, not that you don't interfere or interact with others. As for the Wax's "extreme hatred [...] forcing the mists away," I am not convinced that it was his hatred that did it. Refer back to the passage: The bit you are probably thinking of - "Hatred. He didn’t think he had ever felt hatred so intense as he did at that moment" - doesn't come until a little later, after TenSoon tells him that Lessie had always been one of them, a kandra. On a whim, I also went through the book and look for occurrences of the words "hate" and "hatred." "Hate" shows a bunch of times, but never in a way I would find suspicious. "Hatred" shows up three times - twice in that sentence up there and once when Wayne wishes Allriandre would one day show some emotion, "hatred, maybe." Of course, there can be feelings of hatred without the explicit mention of the word, but nothing smells of Odium to me.

I think it's possible. Don't know how likely though. It has been suggested that Hemalurgy on other Shardworlds will have to work with those worlds' foci - metal for Scadrial, perhaps gems for Roshar, and so on. Brandon has RAFOed this, but it's a possibility.

Hmm. Hmmmmm.. Hmmmmmmmm...

Apparently you can simply coat it in blood.

I don't know, there is something weird about his atium metalminds. I've seen WoBs on both sides. Maybe Ruin gets to talk to you if his Investiture touches your blood. So you can accomplish this either by atium piercings or with a regular Hemalurgic spike (in which the metal itself is clean, but the Hemalurgy lets Ruin buzz in).

As I understood it, the answer to your question question would go something like this...- 131 replies

I'll ask about it on Monday. We might get at least a nickname.

Oh, in the Bands of Mourning? No way.
-
Harmony changed the koloss, but we don't know much about how exactly. We know they breed true, and we know they don't stop growing. I think they don't need spikes anymore.
-
I am pretty much with you on this. Founding a theory on some ambiguous wording makes for a poor foundation, and the evidence for Bleeder having many spikes, but only keeping one at a time is overwhelming.
-
If Bands of Mourning doesn't end with the gang in Scadrial's first ball pit, I am coming after you guys.

Eh, technically kandra were human too. When Rashek took the power of the Well, he turned all Feruchemists into mistwraiths, offering his buddies a kandra upgrade.

We actually got a WoB that it's a Shard we know.

MeLaan calls it metal, I think. I doubt that's something they could get wrong, not with how the scene was set up. But I would be glad to be wrong here.

Uh. I'll try to find it, I've been posting a lot lately. EDIT: This one.

This is what I assumed initially - I saw the outside arc of lerasium, saw that harmonium had two of those and atium had none, so I figured harmonium would be double lerasium, and maybe atium will cancel some of the extra spikes or something. But once I was done superimposing the lerasium symbols there was just no room atium. But obviously I can't argue with Isaac. Maybe the mix is more conceptual than actual - the straight spikes of atium with the curved lines of lerasium.
-
I didn't recognize them for what they were in the broadsheet. It felt like just another small and irrelevant piece of worldbuilding.

Hmm, yeah, I think this may be the first true sad ending to a Sanderson book. Even with Ruin's release at the end of The Well of Ascension, Elend's recovery and acquisition of Allomantic ability were a big stand-up-and-cheer moment. Here, it's just... man, I didn't think Brandon had it in him.
-
Well, one and a half. Maybe one and three quarters. The fandom didn't explode as a result of Wayne & Hoid's meeting. Also, minus points because Kurk hasn't come with even a single new FTL theory. It's been two days, if it hasn't happened, it won't happen.

I find it interesting that Harmony's - or harmonium's, rather - Allomantic symbol is practically double lerasium. I downloaded the lerasium Allomantic symbol from the Coppermind, rotated it so the straight spike and the dot formed a vertical line, duplicated it, flipped the dupplicate along the y-axis, and got the attached. It's not exactly the same (the left and right spikes are curved, whereas the harmonium symbol has them straight), but it's so close, I am willing to glaze over it.

Are we going to talk about the most important thing in the series - the soonies? Wolfhound plushies created in the image of TenSoon?
