  1. Ok Kandra consumes and emulates a Parshendi. Would they still need to take a spren into their gem heart to change forms? Or would the spike that gives the Kandra sentients prevent a spren from Bonding with the Kandra in any way? Sorry if this has been brought up somewhere else already.
  2. Ok so it could be what I was saying, just in a more direct way.
  3. So if a large amount of Threnody is ambitions perpendicularity and the shades are passing through it couldn't they be picking up part of Ambitions intent as they pass through it? Or being driven by the intent because two realms are merged or overlapping is such a unique way?
  4. Ok... So I am beginning to think the shades of Hel react to the 3 things they do because they symbolize Odium? 1. The starting of a fire being "passion" ignited. 2. The running being Ambition trying to escape Odium. 3. And the shedding of blood being Odium shaving off parts of Ambitions power. And that chunk of Ambition remembering what happened to it and leaving that intent in the shades? This probably seems like a stretch but what do you think?
  5. Well I appreciate you being willing to have the conversation even if we couldn't come up with anything concrete.
  6. But petrified bone is organic material replaced by minerals. So if you used a mineralized bone would it work?
  7. Well a lifeless is a specific construct made with breath, we've seen both animated squirrels and humans, and Vasher says that any animal preserved well enough can be used. So why can't any material hard enough to be a weapon be used? Not trying to argue just trying to understand the weird extremes of Brandons magic.
  8. @StrikerEZ sure I always enjoy a good discords, it's appreciated
  9. Wouldn't any weapon be able to be made into a version of Nightblood (not the same but similar) as long as the commands are spoken with the proper intent and with enough breath?
  10. Okay I've been thinking about this today but Brandon said that a different metal used to make night blood would have effectively changed how night blood is... So what if you made a sword from bone and invested it with the same number of breaths? Technically the breaths would stick better because bone was once a living thing would that mean they impart more power into the weapon?
  11. @StrikerEZ I have read most of the core cosmere. I am a willshaper 66 and a windrunner 65. So it's kinda a hard call on that one lol. And I am currently running 4 d&d campaigns so as much as I would love to join your mafia games I am probably a little bit tied up until late summer. But I appreciate the offer.
  12. I think like mink and rats in and around Uritheru several types of animals could survive and reproduce. But just not in the numbers I think if when it comes to heard and expanded domestication.
  13. So because the bulk of an army is dark eyes and soulcast meat is familiar but doesn't taste like what they normally eat. So it makes me feel like it's closer to crab than red meat. I dunno as a food guy I feel overly concerned about this lol
  14. That's another question I have as a part of this, is soulcast meat closer to beef or crustacean meat? That's why I am trying to figure out what the most domestic Animals are and what average Roshar's eat.
  15. Ok I am having a hard time finding the animals that have been domesticated on Roshar outside of the normal Chulls and axehound. Do we know what animals are raised for meat and gem hearts. And do the general population that's not part of the leadership mostly consume a different heard animal because pork and chicken seem reserved for the nobles? And does that mean the bulk of the protein they consume is closer to lobster meat than beef?
  16. So... Was listening to intentionally blank, and was thinking how Brandon describes Ken Jennings and how there are similarities to Hoid. And I got thinking... What if Yolen is just Brandons time in college and the Dragons are his professors and the individuals are his friends and family from the time. Obviously loosely based but the core ideas kinda like a bunch of the Bridge 4 characters are his friends.
  17. I can't list what I would do to Moash because it would probably get me banned... Plus us Krogan lean twords close personal conflict. LoL
  18. Greetings we welcome all who enjoy reading, especially Sanderfans.
  19. So Aluminum blocks investment, but silver moves it onward... Does that mean enough silver could push the DOR into the cognitive realm and make it safe to travel to Sell again? Sorry so many questions... LoL
  20. So maybe silver doesn't purify investiture as much as it just pushes it to the beyond?
  21. So does silver purify investiture then? Is that why it damages shades and lessens the damage done by them?
  22. So they both consume your natural investment, night blood is pulling it into himself, and the shades are "consuming" it as well just not as violently. Seems pretty similar to me. But I see your point.
  23. I am pretty sure nightbloods scabbard is aluminum... But it could be a misdirection.
  24. Well as for favorite characters there are to many to list... But Ham and Rock are the ones I feel most attached to. And as for least favorite? I don't have a least favorite. Just characters I love because I hate them... For reasons lol.
  25. No I don't think we have seen nightblood interact directly with silver, or another shard blade for that matter yet. But my thought process is kinda like would wearing silver rings reduce the damage it does? and you might be right, silver might only have that affect on threnody because if the investment on the planet. I have so many questions about how Nightblood interacts with things... But so few answers LoL
