  1. I haven't been reading much recently. I keep going through cycles of reading everything I can get my hands on and just generally being obsessed with books to not reading a single chapter for months on end. My TBR list is very, very, long.

So I've been watching British panel shows and recorded stand-up comedy. I don't want to watch anything with a plot, that's how burnt out I am.

Does anybody else on here watch Taskmaster, or other panel shows? I highly doubt it (we're not exactly its target audience) but hey, I can try.

If not, are there any nonfiction books you'd recommend?

I'm feeling sad and I don't know why. Or maybe I do know why; I moved to a big city recently, and I'm staying at a hotel for the the first time in two, maybe three years. I honestly don't want to move back, but I spent almost half my life there, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it a little bit. It's a big change.

    Also, I miss my mum.

Anyway, thank you for reading all this. Like I said to The Wandering Wizard, I'm feeling long-winded today. I always talk to myself a lot when I'm melancholy. Not depressed, melancholy. In my head there's a difference.

And a third question that I just thought of. If you start a book title in the middle of a sentence, do you say the Chronicles of Narnia or The Chronicles of Narnia? The latter looks wrong to me; I don't know why.

    1. Shining Silhouette

      Shining Silhouette

I haven't really watched any panel shows, but here are a few nonfiction books that I've liked:

American Sherlock by Kate Winkler Dawson

      Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand

      Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides

The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garret Graff

Change can really be hard and sometimes takes you right in the gut. And melancholiness is also hard; for me personally, when I get in that kind of mood, I like to take walks in the morning and try to keep my mood up. I always feel better when I make an effort to smile. And talking to yourself is healthy and helps to process new changes (another person can be good too).

For your third question, I don't know. At least for me, both look normal. Like maybe I'll say to a friend: "have you read Way of Kings" instead of The Way of Kings but maybe I'll also say "The Way of Kings is one of my favorite books." It's just one of those things, you know.

    2. Szeth's Facepalm

      Szeth's Facepalm

For nonfiction books, anything by Steve Sheinkin!

    3. The Unknown Medallion

      The Unknown Medallion

Yes, I've watched Taskmaster, kinda trailed off around season 7 though. Very much enjoyed, just did have the time. Not really other panel shows. Probably would have after Taskmaster if I had finished it.

As a rule, I don’t read nonfiction, so no help for you there.

Lowercase t all the way. However, for like papers and other more official things, The Way of Kings, or "The Way of Kings" would be proper, and the T is capitalized in those.
